Stayed here many times. Very nice property.

Stay was fine, good location which was the main point. But we had booked a room for 3 people, stated explicitly on the site, but when we got there they said they would only have a space for 2. Thankfully they eventually managed to find an acceptable alternative, but the hotel should not be offering rooms online that are not accurately described.

It is close to the boardwalk & beach. Simple room.

I think the room could have been cleaned better than it was. I actually cleaned it with disinfectant wipes. I am definitely fanatical about cleanliness. Love the location.

Would stay there again

Perfect location, and gorgeous. Despite being old and stately, it has an elevator, which makes it very usable even if you can't face those stairs. Great room, upscale bathroom. And oh that wrap around porch, with the ocean visible over the boardwalk (and some parking lots, but it's fun to watch the people even in those). The persons at check in made this a lovely experience.

We stayed one night. Clean and only a block from the boardwalk. It was nice to have parking & enjoy the pool on the premises.

With its great location to the boardwalk and quaint aesthetic, I was hoping for at least a mediocre experience. Unfortunately the front desk lady was rude to my husband upon check-in, which just set up a bad vibe to begin with. The room itself was just unclean. The walls were grimy, and I hope to god that was a ketchup smudge on the pillow case. There was a hole in one of the ceiling tiles that had been stuffed with a tissue. The bathroom felt gross. The shower door wouldn’t stay shut all the way when showering. The shelves on the wall in the bathroom looked like they were about to fall off the wall. They were slanted down and to used them meant risking your stuff would fall in the toilet. Medium length black hairs on the sink and in the shower (none of us have black hair). I’m typically an easy going person and it’s not like any of this ruined our trip; it was just disappointing. The pool was lovely, even though the hot tub was not hot. And the artwork in the room was cool. Overall, the hotel is just old and could use some renovations and lots of cleaning. Even just getting new carpet for the hallway stairs would be an improvement. It looked grungy. Lady at the front desk was also rude upon checkout, so that was fun.

Beautiful property

Room was small but nice and cozy. Only bad thing was the temps in the room was very sticky,no air flow. Everything was damp therefore not very comfortable! Other then that it was okay.

The staff is so nice and are willing to accommodate different situations if need be, very clean and comfortable, and it’s so close to the boardwalk which is amazing.

I booked the suite. The only thing missing was a coffee maker. A nice cup of coffee and sit on deck was in my mind but no coffee at this establishment. Not even in the lobby. Ice machine one machine for entire property that was half broken. A bit noisy because close to boardwalk. Kids climbing firescape and hangout on it. That should be blocked for safety reasons. Other than that great place.

In the perfect location, very welcoming staff

The staff was very pleasant but there is major glitch in the system between expedia and the Ocean Manor. Expedia books rooms the Manor does not have. I booked a balcony only to call and find out that had not been available. The staff explained expedia does this all the time. They tried to accommodate but the room was rather small for 5 people and we had no thermostat. It was incredibly hot. The location is great but I don’t think I would ever spend close to $300 a night again to stay there.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Very clean, updated room. Nice staff and guests. We would go back in a heartbeat.

A family-owned business with management treats you like a family member. Pool and parking. One block off the beach and a 5-minute walk to "downtown" O.C.

It was amazing

It was fantastic. The staff was super friendly. When I got there she took the time to even show me where our room and parking spot were because it was late and dark out. The place was super clean and comfortable. Literally when we left we inquired about staying again because of how much we enjoyed it. The location is perfect. It doesn’t get better. Just a short walk to the beach and boardwalk.

When we checked in everyone was so nice. They found out it was our 30th anniversary and upgraded us. The room was lovely the walk to the beach was short. Everything worked out great.

Very cute place, loved the kitchenette! Having a whole fridge and freezer was lovely

We were on the street level and didn’t realize that’s where our balcony would be. It felt like we were in a basement with the windows covered, which isn’t what we wanted at the shore. We tried to open a window, but the screen was (very) ripped and we didn’t want bugs to come in. The temperature control unit smells like sour mold when cold and like hot electrical when warm. Overall, it was pretty rough and we probably wouldn’t stay again, even if we got a nicer upstairs room. Some good things: The front desk worker was nice. The bed was also comfortable enough (soft pillow top). The location was also really convenient and walkable. It’s pretty close to the boardwalk, so we did hear people screaming on the rides late.

Great view, convenient location, updated bathroom and room. Would stay there again. Although the beds and pillows could be a bit softer.

Comfortable and relaxing stay. Could use stairs to easily get up and down to second floor. Loved the balcony and two separate spaces in a smaller room made it feel like an apt and not just a room. A tad dated and no coffee available was only downsides. Great location. I’d go back.
