Sehr gemuetlich, wohnlich, sehr gut ausgestattet. Herzlicher Empfang-high tea Gebaeck war fuer uns angerichtet! Bei teils stuermisch-regnerischem Wetter ein schoener Ort zum Entspannen, auch durch den Holzofen. Ohne Vorbehalt sehr empfohlen. ,zudem gute Lage fuer Sehenswuerdgkeiten wie Callanish-stones, Broch etc.

The location is extremely beautiful and quiet .The Blackhouse has been restored with the greatest love and care and attention to detail . Laura has thought of every tiniest thing to make her guests comfortable in the best traditions of Hebridean hospitality . Every detail is beautiful from the virtuoso carpentry and furniture building to the sky blue Harris tweed of the curtains and above the bed echoing a sail drying or the waves of the sea . This is a dream realised in the most enchanting way . the dry stone walls are works of art and beauty. Gradually too you realise the twinkle in the eye which organised it all and the sense of fun and joy , passed down the years and which the stones have witnessed over many revolutions of the earth .

In einem Blackhouse zu wohnen, ist eine ganz eigene Erfahrung. Man bekommt ein Gespür dafür, wie das Leben wohl früher war. Das Haus war super renoviert und blitzsauber. Eine lustige Auswahl an leckeren Kuchen stand für uns bereit. Die Tür war offen, der Schlüssel lag in der Küche. Das Bett war sehr bequem, wir haben geschlafen wie die Babies. Eine Bibliothek von wohlsortierten regionalen Büchern und Musik CDs stand bereit. Die zugegebenermaßen sehr niedrigen Außentemperaturen konnten mit dem Kamin im Innenraum gut kompensiert werden. Es wurde auf praktische Dinge geachtet, es gab überall Haken, wo man was aufhängen konnte.
