Clean room. Good communication with owner. My single room included a fridge, aircon and a tv. Shared bathroom right next to me - also very clean. Kettle and coffee/teabags available in the small social space and some plates and cutlery for anyone who needed them. Also, I think there was a microwave. The property is on a quiet street close to the Borgo Palazzo district. Within comfortable walking distance from the main bus/train station (I don't walk fast and it took me 17 minutes to walk to the station). Plenty of food places in the vicinity. The area seemed a friendly mix of cultures - lots of Asian, Middle Eastern shops nearby. The location and the price were the main things that attracted me to this property. I was travelling alone, out most of the day and on a bus to Modena after my two-night stay here. Also, extremely safe! there's a keyed gate and another keyed entrance door before you get to your room! the area feels more residential than touristy, which I liked.

Directions! I followed Google maps to the letter. And ended up in a dodgy-looking part of town with a field on one side of me, no pavement, and some derelict buildings on the other. Thankfully it was daytime and I didn't feel unsafe, though it was boiling hot and I felt I was walking away from the place rather than towards it. But I kept on going and when I eventually found it, the owner told me that that was not the best way to come and he told me of the best way to get there, along built-up streets, past a supermarket (Gigante) and onto Via G. David and then Via Bartolomeo Bono. At that point its safe to consult Google maps. It would have been helpful to know that before-hand! The only other thing that needs attention (and may have by now been fixed) was the shower attachment in the bath. I had two very awkward showers because I just couldn't get it to work. ie couldn't get the flow to come through the hand-held shower attachment. And even if it worked, you'd have to shower sitting in the bath as there is no box/cubicle with shower curtain etc. So whatever you do, you're bound to make a watery mess on the floor!

An easy pick for anyone traveling solo or as a couple. The location is relatively close the central parts of the city and there are transport links as well. The host was very responsive when it comes to check-in and information how to reach the property. Even though the bathroom and the toilet were shared between two rooms they're clean and in a nice overall condition. The room was air-conditioned and the bed - comfy.

The bathroom could benefit from some minor improvements that could make a big difference. One of them is the lack of a fixed holder for shower head on the wall. It is really easy to make a mess on the floor when taking a shower. A simple bath curtain could make a huge difference in that regard.

I liked everything. The host was super nice. The room and the bathroom were neat and clean. Just a kilometer away from Via XX Settembre on foot. It is 5 min away from the airport by car which is another plus. Definitely recommended, I will come back again.
