What a treat to have a private spa in our little garden! We enjoyed our week in Helmsley. The locals were remarkably friendly and the town has an impressive range of independent shops. It's also well located for visits to Castle Howard, York, Rievaulx Abbey etc. The house is in a quiet cul de sac, but it's only a couple of minutes' walk into the market square. It's a very peaceful place to stay.

Found the cottage in pristine condition, everything we needed was provided. It’s a short walk to the Town Square with a supermarket, several pubs and cafes galore. It’s ideally situated to explore Yorkshire and the amenities provided at the cottage allow you to relax on an evening. I’m looking forward to revisiting the Helmsley Retreat in 2025
