Hotel Allegra 3 Stern Superior

I travelled to Pontresina with my adult daughter to hike and escape the 35°C heat in Zurich, and we found this pearl of a hotel. Our room was large and very comfortable, with a desk where my daughter could work and a comfortable chair where I could read. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. On Swiss National Day, for example, they organised a small reception with wine and snacks to celebrate. They also explained how to get the free public transport tickets, made dinner reservations for us and helped with anything else we needed. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

info said it was just across or next to the main train station. in fact, it's a 10-15 min walk and we had large suitcases, a very early train and lots of cobblestone streets on the way. False advertising Also, the front desk person was clueless about local restaurants, getting a taxi, finding a bank, and when I left my phone she didn't bother to call my room. Then the front desk closes foro much of the evening and early am Quite disappointing! Room was small but fine
