I went down for dinner and was asked if I would like a drink, so I ordered a glass of red wine only to be told I would have to order the bottle. I stay in hotels every week or so home and abroad and never experienced a hotel bar that does not serve a glass of wine by the glass. UNNACEPTABLE.

A most enjoyable stay in what is a very comfortable hotel within a short walking distance of the Elgin town centre and its historic cathedral. There is an excellent menu with an emphasis on local produce. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a welcoming lounge bar. Our room was very clean with plenty of storage space. While neither my wife nor I are disabled, the room had been adapted for disabled guests.

Great location, clean and good value. Friendly staff and fantastic breakfast.
Starting to show some signs of tiredness and in need of a facelift in the room I was staying in. Building work on a section of the accommodation block was ongoing during my visit, with no impact whatsoever on me.
