Close to centre and far enough for a quiet stay - Manager is lovely - stayed here before and would go back again- rooms are lovely

The pinfold was a lovely homely place. Very clean. Close to everything. The host was lovely.

Not too big but more than enough room for two for a few nights way & plenty of room in the bathroom. Nicely decorated and excelkent location

Property was well located for the town centre. We were greeted and shown into the accommodation by our friendly host. We found the room to be spacious and clean, ideal for our requirements.

Great welcome from the owner on arrival, beautiful room with original features. really well equipped room. plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby.

Towels need to be bigger, but perhaps I visited to many local pubs!

Quirkiness of room. Very clean and comfortable bed.

Noise from church bells really loud and went on far too long. Went out in the end to avoid them.

Was room only but great selection of tea and coffee and a few biscuits. Location was perfect.. short stroll into town..

The location is outstanding, with the castle nearly next door and many dining and shopping options a short walk away. We enjoyed the living area in the room with a small sofa and chair. With the addition of a mini-fridge, it could have felt like a studio apartment/flat. The host gave a warm welcome and got us set up with parking. She also gave us an overview of the area and made recommendations for dining. The parking worked out great as it was only a block away and was easily accessed when we needed it.

This is not so much a problem but a consequence of its central location: The room overlooked one of the main roads in and out of town, so there is traffic noise if you need to open the windows for ventilation. The noise dies down at night, though. Also not a complaint but a suggestion that there could be a larger sign out front. The small lane that the establishment is on is not marked and the front of the establishment only has a small sign that can't be seen until you are nearly upon it. But you could also make the case that this is part of its small-town old-world charm.

Great location just off the High Sfreet, but quiet so good sleeps. Nice room, comfy bed, glasses and p!ates for drinks and snacks. We were very happy with our choice.
