Villa I due Casali with private swimming pool surrounded by a splendid panorama
A pochi passi da un pittoresco paesino, nel cuore della verde Umbria, Villa I Due Casali domina dall'alto l'ampia valle. Mantenendo intatte le caratteristiche strutturali della costruzione originaria, il recente restauro ha trasformato i rustici in una dimora accogliente e confortevole, circondata da un curatissimo giardino. Forme, materiali costruttivi e utensili tipici dell'antica tradizione rurale, tornano all'antico splendore e trovano una nuova collocazione sposandosi alle moderne tecnologie. Sui verdi terrazzamenti, tra piante da frutto, meravigliosi cespugli fioriti, piante grasse ed aromatiche si aprono la grande piscina a sale completamente attrezzata con lettini prendisole, ombrelloni e gazebo, l'area giochi per i più piccoli ed il campo da calcetto. Villa I Due Casali ospita comodamente 18 + 2 persone nelle sue 9 camere da letto ampie, luminose e dotate di bagno privato con doccia. I bagni delle stanze a pian terreno sono inoltre attrezzati per esser comodamente accessibili anche a persone disabili. Il piano terra del corpo principale è concepito come un grande e luminoso spazio ideale per vivere piacevoli momenti di convivialità, sia accomodati al grande tavolo da pranzo che riuniti attorno al grande camino per scaldarsi e rilassarsi al tepore della fiamma. Nelle stagioni più calde sarà invece possibile mangiare all'aperto sotto il grande loggiato che affaccia sulla valle delimitata da verdi montagne all'orizzonte. Adiacente alla sala da pranzo e con accesso diretto al loggiato, si apre la grande cucina moderna e completamente attrezzata. A disposizione degli ospiti sono anche due barbecue, l'orto rigorosamente biologico come anche i prodotti del frutteto, tutti da cogliere ed assaporare.

Villa I due Casali is a beautiful villa in a stunning location. The rooms are all very spacious and very nicely decorated and we were amazed that every bedroom has its own bathroom. The pool is fabulous, large enough that it never felt crowded even when our entire group of 17 was in it. The grounds are fantastic with stunning views over the Umbrian hills and mountains. The outdoor space is superb with the covered seating area being a particular favourite for our evening meals. Our host, Anna was very responsive on the couple of occasions when we had minor issues to be sorted. We also asked asked Anna to come and cook for us one evening and she created an amazing four course dinner for a very reasonable price. If you are staying at this villa do not miss the opportunity to get Anna to cook for you. You will not regret it. Although the beautiful village of Preggio is right behind the village there are no shops or bars/restaurants. The nearest small supermarket is in Castel Rigone about 15 minutes away but the larger supermarkets are in Passignano, Magione or Umbertide all about half an hour away so shopping trips are a bit of a trek. Having said that, it is well worth the effort to enjoy the peace and seclusion available at Villa I due Casali. Anna you are a fabulous host and you very much became our family friend during our stay. We had the most wonderful stay at this stunning place and we very much hope to return in the not too distant future.

This is one of the few places that is more beautiful than the photos! We were a family group of 15 brought together by the matriarchs 80th birthday. From 80 to 5, we all had a fabulous time. Preggio is a very small village with only one restaurant, a bar open infrequently and no services. But shopping, a magnificent lake, and much else was only 20 minutes away. You need to have cars if you want to explore the region, and the roads of Umbria can by winding and narrow. But the setting is magnificent, the villa is exactly as described, with most rooms having an attached bathroom, and the pool is terrific. We had a great time and can recommend the villa without hesitation.
