This was our second visit to Maes Bach. It is very clean and comfortable with very well-appointed rooms. There is access to a sitting room and a well equipt kitchen. Just off the promenade and the main street to the centre of town, the location is very good. Off-road parking is a real bonus. Great communication with the owner. Highly recommended.

There is no sea view from the property, but the promenade is only seconds from the front door.

Everything about this place is wonderful. Spotlessly clean and like staying in a show home. One road back from the seafront and the Main Street so restaurants, bars and beach 1 minute away but no evening noise. Small garden with seating and wood burner. Fully equipped kitchen and beds to sink in to. Bathrooms spotless too with big comfortable towels and bath robes.

It was clean, there were lots of facilities and conveniences. The guest house is nicely located tucked just behind the seafront in the centre of town. My room was also really attractively decorated.

It wasn’t immediately obvious where to get keys or how to check out. I was also unsure of my room number. The host wasn’t physically available on arrival, but I figured out my room by asking other guests. There was no parking immediately outside so I used on street parking. My car was then badly damaged during my stay. Not the fault of the guesthouse, but frustrating there wasn’t safe parking.

The overall set up was very nice. Good over the top furnishing with massive silver carved mirror. Lots of bath things.

On my booking it said I would have a sea view. When I asked the owner she was very rude and asked me 'HOW WOULD YOU EXPECT BATH STREET TO HAVE SEA VIEW?' I answered that I did not know Aberyswyth and that I had no idea where Bath street was when I booked the room, but it did say SEA VIEW and I even wrote before I stayed, asking if it had a sea view but no answer. I showed the cleaner the advert with my booking on it and it said SEA VIEW!! I had looked for ages on booking.com for a sea view room and picked this wrongly. The noise from the rooms, made me think the rooms were made of paper. I could even hear the light switch in the room underneath and someone snoring beneath my room very loudly. I could hear conversations in two rooms and banging doors. Very noisy, WHEN I had asked for a quiet house. I do not always leave bad reviews but despite this being wonderfully furnished the owner is rude, the adverts are wrong, and the noise is too much.
