Service was excellent.
Location was great.
Room though was very small and the bathroom even smaller.
Air conditioner blew directly on a bed and its direction could not be changed.

Hotel was very worn. Shower backed up and brown sludge came up from the drain. No air dryer. Good location. Front desk people were friendly.

An economical place to stay with great location, friendly staff, and it had what you needed (bathroom toiletries, free/included breakfast, water in lobby, convenience store in lobby, etc). The rooms are NYC small. The window AC unit was appreciated.

Excellent location, close to several subway lines, walkable neighborhood, steps from Central Park. Room was rather small, however for a 5 day stay. My previous stay was one night

My hotel stay cost 1115.53 for 3 nights. Then, when I got to the hotel, I got charged another 114.00 for a convenience fee. The hotel was dirty. The elevator, small. The toilet did not flush right and I could hear my neighbors. The only reason I gave it the score I did was because Central Park is basically right out the door and breakfast is included. That being said, you can find better hotels in the area for about the same price.

First of all the staff was very friendly. This made my stay. There was a problem checking into my room, but once resolved I was given the keys and off I went. When I got to my room it was a corner room with great views... The was only one problem, the bed had been covered with a black plastic bag.
At first I thought nothing of it. The room was clean and all I wanted to do was sit down at the desk and do some work before going to bed. I removed the plastic thinking that it was left behind in error. Then when turning to go to the bathroom, I noticed a 2 x 2 piece of wall board leaning up against the wall. Then the 2 x 2 hole in the ceiling. Arghhh nice room but I am sure they dont want me to stay here.
When I arrived back at the front desk I was warmly greeted with, "I was expecting you. The trouble I was having checking you in was do to the room was under repair." I was then given another room. The new room was clearly smaller, queen size bed instead of a king and no desk.
All good.
Breakfast too was good, nothing to write home about but good. The staff who ran the dinning room were sweet and funny.... making everything better.

The hotel location was great. Easy access to subway. We couldn’t check in early and the only place to leave luggage was in the middle of the lobby.
The hotel seemed to be on high heat and it was difficult to cool down the room to sleep.

The room was so small that the bed and dresser barely fit. You could touch the bed from the toilet so there was no room to even walk between them. Also the toilet was clogged. It was obvious that it had been clogged for a while because of the tool marks that could be seen. It overflowed twice while we were there (only 2 nights). We asked them to fix it but they never did. We got our own plunger.

Amazing! I had a wonderful time at this hotel. Very clean, staff was amazing and very friendly. The room was very clean and the linens smelled amazing. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Clean and friendly. Excellent location 10 min walk from Times Square. New York public transportation was $22 to EWR Airport. Would book again!

The room was very great size, the staff were amazing, everything was perfect but the bathrooms. The bathrooms need to be renovated. But besides that this hotel was perfect!!

A room with a desk but no chair? they would not bring one up- had to take one from the breakfast area. Cleanliness an issue especially shabby and dirty hallways carpets. 12 stories building with one very slow elevator.

Good value for the money. Appreciate the breakfast and 24/7 coffee - and the opportunity to store our bags after checkout. The elevator was slow but it was an opportunity for exercise.

Look. It’s an older property. Great price for the location and the staff were great! If you need luxury, go elsewhere. If you need a bed for after a long day in a great city on a budget…go for it! And it’s so quiet compared to staying in a busy part of NYC.

The room was so cold the furnace was not working, it took them to long to get us heater . We froze in the room, the phone was not working. It was unpleasant experience

I came to NYC for a solo trip and wasn't in the hotel room much. The room was quite small, but had all the basics covered. Bed was very comfortable. I would stay here again, also the location was prime.

I paid for a larger room with a desk and queen size bed but was given a smaller room with a double bed. This has happened three times now. The phone didn’t work. Also, the person who worked the 11 pm shift was rather unhelpful (a male). On the other hand, Stephanie was friendly and helpful and took time and care to help guests. The location is right by Central Park.

Nice location. Some of the front desk staff was helpful. Had to get our key "remagnitized" both nights we were there. Breakfast was decent, but no place to sit. Long wait for the elevator. Subway very close!

The service was good, staff was friendly and hotel in good location. Disappointed that there was no complimentary bottled water available, and the free water dispenser was not replenished each day. As a result, there was a $3 charge for a 16 ounce bottle of water each day. As a Wyndham owner, that should have been automatic but only Platinum members were offered free water.

I’d didn’t expect a lot given the 2 star rating and it didn’t disappoint. In my opinion it was awful for the amount I payed . Perhaps it’s usually is less expensive. I wish the pictures would have done better justice. Room tiny I had to undress and towel off inside the room for the bathroom was too small and mold on walls. The desk clerks were very nice. And they provide a decent spread for breakfast ( I didn’t eat I wanted to explore city options). In my opinion if you are having a rare opportunity to come to upper west side pay more and treat yourself to a higher scale hotel especially if the prices between hotels don’t break the bank. If you just want to crash not spending much time it the room it’s completely fine.

Property was a 3/5 and very old amenities. But overall the staff was very kind and helpful but the building is old and small. Very tight corridors and small rooms. Enjoy!

It was a pleasant experience to stay at this hotel. It is well located next to Central Park, the train station is quite close and the area is quite safe. Comfortable and clean room. The breakfast is quite varied, and the staff that serves is very friendly and cordial, I would only recommend that you come down to eat early because an hour before the end the place is congested and the options run out

Roaches in the bed and on the walls, empty shampoo bottles, maids incessantly trying to get in your room in the morning even before check out, dirty walls, extra charge once you get there, crappy furniture. The list goes on… this place is not sanitary and doesn’t feel safe.

I when dec 24 at night and was super bad customer service even i made video , this guy give to us super customer service was talking to me really bad , even i told him please stop to talking to me bad infromt of my daughter but when my husband arrived after 30 minutes looking park uff the bad customer guy customer service change it , give to us the room 904 bedroom for 3 person and omg the bed super small , when my husband after 30 minutes looking park the size of the bed 1 twin and another one super more small the queen is no nice sleep 2 aduls , i when in another la quinta hotel in different place , but this one i never going to come back and this guy i have video of him , i super bad person and bad customer principal with latin and womens
