The room was very nice, large, quiet and updated. The bed was very comfortable. The only downfall is the breakfast. They do offer some grab-and-go type items. It would be much nicer to have a better selection of hot foods that you don't have to microwave. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

The property was in transition, but was in great shape. Our room looked to be newly updated. Very nice. We were not able to check in until after 5, because our room was not ready. This was not a problem for us. I would recommend a full service breakfast and a restaurant on property, but for the price this property was top notch!!

Overall i guess because of the renovation the building itself was not bad. Hated that they didnt have actual breakfast. Also the room could of used a better cleaning. The entire time we stayed there no one came by to see if we needed clean towels or anything. The front staff was very friendly though.

In the area for a family reunion and we had a great experience at this property. The entire staff was helpful, resourceful and pleasant. Rooms were clean and housekeeping were accommodating with extra towels when needed. Breakfast selections were nice & a great start to the day. If we need to come back to the area we will be returning to this hotel.

We had a very friendly reception. As we arrived a little later we were promptly offered a list of local restaurants. Our stay was very pleasant and relaxing. I slept very well! We were very satisfied with our stay at the Holiday Inn, Carbondale. Thank you!

Despite asking for a quiet room away from families and dogs, the room next to me was occupied by a loud family with lots of children running in the hall, doors slamming, etc. Front desk kindly moved me to another room on a higher floor with no questions asked!

Staff friendly and check in easy. I payed extra to stay here for the pool but because the dehumidifier was broken the pool temp had to be turned down and it was cold. Also because of construction breakfast was limited.

We were bummed to find out, upon check-in, that the pool was closed. We wish we would have known that in advance. Convenient breakfast with clean, comfortable rooms.

Good stay, but this property needs some maintenance/updating, especially in the room furnishings. Bedside tables, upholstered chair, etc, were dated and in need of repair. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

Had this been my first stay at a Holiday Inn, I probably would find somewhere else to stay in the future. When I say everything was Meh, I mean EVERYTHING. First thing I noticed was that it looks a bit run down when you leave the lobby. My room is very small compared even to the other Holiday Inns in the area I usually stay. Curtain track is hanging on by a thread. Mildew on the tub. Hot breakfast was microwave jimmy dean. I'm keto and stay at holiday inns so I can eat some eggs and meat and go on with my day-not a single thing I could eat here. The room was clean enough, the staff was friendly, but I stayed here because the other HI's were full and now I see why. Wouldn't stay in this one again.

Evelyn at the front desk was so accommodating and helpful with an early check in and fresh coffee a very tired traveler. The star was friendly overall! The room was just perfect too! Will stay here again!

The property was being renovated, so there was no breakfast included as listed when we made the reservation. Our non-smoking room smelled musty and like a smoker had lived there for ten years. It was a bit grimy - needed a deep clean.

Booked room 2 months in advance. Hotel canceled my reservation 3 hours before I tried to check in. Could not find reservation when attempting to check in because reservation was under “Dave” and not “David”. Reservation was not found using last name.

Good water pressure. A little dusty. Lamp on nightstand did not work, but the other 2 did. Mattress sunk in the middle a but and was hard. But, mattress firmness is also a personal preference.

I liked that the room felt spacious and that the bathroom was somewhat roomy. I was just dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the room, especially the bathroom when I arrived. Lots of hair all over the shower and toilet paper in the toilet. Microwave was broken but refrigerator worked great and was very happy to have that!

What great info the front desk passed on to us...by joining the IHG rewards we could save on the pet fee! No one ever told us this before!! So of course we will always try to use IHG properties when we travel with Tillie Dog!
