Lovely grounds; terrific hot springs/cold pools; fabulous restaurant *****

Nice cottages with beautiful view of the volcano.

Very cozy cabins per family. 3 Hot Springs were quiet and not busy. The farm with animals and garden with vegetables were great for children. The staff was excellent. They helped us with all our excursions. Highly recommend this quiet hotel.

We stayed there Dec 2023 and the hot springs are nice though there was no notice that it's not filled up during morning. The regular pool seems forgotten. The rooms are nice, clean but on a smaller compared to the other hotels that we stayed in La Fortuna. The location isn't as close to the town. You have to get a cab or other transport to be able to go to places. The meals/breakfast were tasty and has more options.Receptionist was friendly to arrange our tour. TV is kind of frustrating as it wasn't set up properly. We had paid some of the meals (lunch/supper) and one of the meal was charged double when we already paid the waiter that time. Good thing I kept a copy of receipt. Overall it was an ok experience.

Excellent staff, friendly and helpful. Beautiful landscape with hot springs in a tropical rain forest setting . Free breakfast is very good and we have dinner there twice during our stay and it was excellent both time . We could ordered something that is not on the menu and Juan Carlos our server went out of his way to make that happens . We strongly recommend this hotel .

Hotel el silencio del campo is staffed with very friendly people. The grounds are well maintained and very peaceful. Their thermal spas are nice and are seperated enough to feel like you are by yourself in the middle of the forest. They do have a small farm and sometimes the animals are out and about. Very beautiful and serene.

We loved this hotel. Unlike some of the bigger resorts, this place has only 24 cabins and ~5 pools, so a good ratio! Friendly staff. Immaculately clean. Great gallo pinto and fresh fruit for breakfast. The kids also loved the farm - milking the cow, collecting eggs, and visiting with the gardener.

Absolutely beautiful stay! Perfect for families with young children. Great location in between downtown La Fortuna and Arenal attractions. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Loved the wildlife strolling thru the grounds. The working farm was so wholesome. the hot springs were just right. When we were showed our room it was cooking hot. The safe instructions required two different staff members help. The other couple we traveled with experienced the same safe issues. Over all we highly recommend Hotel El Silencio del Campo.

It really was such a peaceful setting. The private bungalows were a big plus so it didn’t feel like a hotel at all! All the staff were so polite and we found this to be true of all the Costa Ricans we encountered. The spa and thermal pools were a big highlight. We truly felt we were in paradise

Loved it! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Accommodations were clean and updated bathrooms. Bed was a little uncomfortable for my husband but fine for me. Hot spring pools were amazing! Great views of Arenal from each room as the cabins were staggered. Loved the individual cabin rooms each with their own outdoor space. With only 24 cabins/rooms, It had a small resort feel which made for a more personal experience. Breakfast was delicious and made to order everyday. Eggs and vegetables from their own farm! We had dinner once at the restaurant and that was delicious too! Would def return!

Love the property it is very natural. The staff is excellent and you can tell they all take great pride in making sure this hotel is around many years from now.

The staff in this property were just amazing. The view to the volcano is nice but not the best due to too many buildings around. The thermal waters and the spa was just a dream.

Beautiful place to stay for Families. Nice clean rooms and bathrooms. Welcome drink was served. Breakfast was great. Staff was quick to respond. Beautiful view of the Volcano. Animals on their farm is a great addition for families to enjoy some activities in the morning like milking the cow, horse riding and chicken coop. Does have a hot spring and a pool.

Wonderful staff, very clean and a lot of fun stuff for kids to do like milk a cow, ride a horse, collect eggs from chickens, jump on a trampoline, swim in the pool. It's also a great place to enjoy the hot springs and jacuzzi with a drink that's next to the bar. My room had a great view of the volcano. A special thanks to one of front desk receptionist, Leon, who went out of his way to help me retrieve an item I forgot at my last hotel. Leon and the rest of the staff make the hotel very special place to visit.

We cannot say enough about Hotel El Silencio Del Campo! First, the people who work here are excellent. They were very helpful, positive and clearly cared about our experience. I had my birthday while we stayed there and they helped my husband purchase flowers and a cake. The woman who cleaned our room made an adorable figure out of the towels. The front desk folks also helped us make a reservation at Travesia (which I highly recommend). When we asked for recommendations for pizza take out they recommended Que Rico, which was delicious. The folks who work at the restaurant and bar were equally wonderful. They filled our water bottles every day with water and ice. They gave us bags of ice for our room each night. They made smoothies and cocktails whenever we wanted one. When the bartender spotted a sloth in a nearby tree she made sure to share it with us. Second, the property is beautiful. The landscaping is breathtaking. The path to walk down to the hot springs is magical. At various times we saw colorful ducks, a large, adorable pig walking the grounds, iquanas, ponies, many birds and lizards, a turtle. I found different ways to enjoy the property every day. Additionally, the hotel is not crowded at all. We often had the pool to ourselves. Occasionally, we shared a hot spring (there are several of them) with two or three people. We highly recommend staying here!

This property lives up to its name. Grounds were beautiful and quiet. Loved the farm and hot springs were small but great! The chalet felt so comfortable and private. Great resort for a romantic getaway.

The hotspring pools were great! The food in the restaurant was very good. Staff were so friendly. Cabana was very nice.

We had such a wonderful time at Hotel El Silencio del Campo, it's such a special place! We had a beautiful view of the Arenal Volcano, the various thermal hot springs were wonderful, it sometimes felt like we had exclusive use of some of the pools. Pickup and dropoff from various day trips was easy and staff was very helpful in coordinating, plus all of the farm animals were so much fun! We have a 6-year-old child, so this was such a perfect place for our family to stay. It's a smaller resort, so it felt like a very safe and intimate environment. My daughter got to help gather eggs and ride one of the ponies, Taffi. She also loved seeing their pig, Bella, meandering around the hotel grounds. The hotel restaurant had a changing menu for dinner, which was nice for the variety, and they have a little pool with fish in it that kept our daughter nicely occupied while we waited for our meal. Every member of the staff was incredibly hospitable and friendly. And as visitors from Northern California, we were appreciative that the air conditioning units in the rooms were very efficient in this hot, humid climate! I would love to come back here for another visit someday. So many beautiful memories!

Cute little rooms. Food was tasty. Loved the farm and farm animals and love that we were able to interact with them. Nice to know that our vegetables & milk eggs and cheese were fresh from the farm. The hot springs were nice & relaxing. It was so cute that they feed the birds as well. Overall we had a wonderful time and wish we could if stayed longer. The communication from the staff was on point, they helped me book my zip lining adventure. The staff was super friendly as well.

This hotel is absolutely incredible! Great staff, beautiful setting, wonderful restaurant and lovely hot springs and pool. My only regret is that we aren’t staying here longer. We LOVE this place and will definitely come back.

Comfy cabins with a view of the volcano, great thermal pools, nice farm and garden. 27 years of farm-to-table organic cuisine, with friendly and kind staff. Good for families and not too loud for adults-only as well.

The various hot springs in the back were amazing! My family loved it! There was also a small farm and my daughter fell in love with a horse she named Spirit. It was amazing!

This place exceeded our expectations in every way!! The pictures posted online do NOT do this place justice. It is absolutely gorgeous. We stayed in the family chalet because we are a family of 4 with two teenage boys. The room was so spacious for us and the beds were very comfortable. We loved the large patio where we could see the Arenal volcano. We loved walking through the farm to see all of the animals and where they get the food and eggs for meals. Having daily visits from Muchacho (roaming pig) was such a treat. The hot springs were AMAZING. So much better than we were expecting with so many different pools tucked away down little paths. Before we got here I had plans to take hikes to hot springs or to pay for visit another nearby resort. But once we checked out the hot springs on the property no one wanted to go anywhere else. They are AMAZING. The bar/food was great and right in the middle of the pool and gardens. It was truly magical at night. The staff was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The location was great and easy to get an Uber in the La Fortuna when we wanted to have dinner in town. This was our favorite place to stay during our trip to several cities in Costa Rica.

The location was close to adventures. Having the hot springs on the property were lovely. The breakfast was filling each day. The staff was extremely accommodating to our son's peanut allergy.

My son and I are traveling through Costa Rica on our own for his high school graduation trip. The concierge helped us choose the perfect sloth tour. The grounds and staff were incredible. The farm to table menu was good. We wished that we had time to extend our stay!
