We visited this place during a trip across Germany, from the Swiss border to Sylt. Because of the Covit-19 situation more people visit Sylt than usually around this time. The room was big and friendly. The hotel took the Covit-19 measures very seriously. As a guest you have to pre-order the breakfast in detail. In the dining room you get a tablet including all the things you ordered. I have to say this is probably the best Breakfast I ever had in a German hotel. They should keep this after Corona. We enjoyed the stay in this small hotel.

Something negative: The WLAN is a joke. They use the TV set as router. The TV is always running when you use your tablet or phone.

The man at the front desk , Sebastian, was extremely helpful in finding restaurants. The room was large enough to spread my stuff out. I liked the triple glazed window which let air in. The area was very quiet, which is what I am always looking for.

The bed, whilst being a queen size, had a covering so I could only use one half of the bed. I stopped using a single bed when I was 18 and I hate a single bed with an intensity. (I travel 70-100 nights a year overseas, sometimes by myself and sometimes with my wife.) I know nobody remembers the Jacques Tati films of the 60's but the hotel reminds me of the modern building which is impossible to use. The internet requires the TV to be on and you have 120 sec to put in a password but for some reason has a range of letters and numbers that has L,l,I i,O,o,0. Confused. So was I. If you fail, the TV disappears up its own back side. Of course, I'm just an old fart who is not technologicaly advanced, that is, I'm older than 15 years old. Actually, Westerland reminds me of Jacques in Monsieur Hulot's Holiday. I could write pages about this area.
