Cute, and very clean. Best firepit and seating area.

The place was quiet and peaceful. The cabin was very clean. Unfortunately we did not get to enjoy the fire pit but one is available and fully stocked with firewood. One thing we looked for was a stove and pot but there was an electric pot that we could have used and an electric griddle. We would definitely stay again.

The cabin was perfect! Upon arrival, everything was fully stocked, including soap, toilet paper, clean blankets and bath towels, and even water for the coffee pot. There were clean bowls and utensils in the kitchen if we needed to use them. The bed was made and everything was neat and tidy. Directions for move-in and move-out were very clear. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This is a beautifully maintained cabin. The decorating is gorgeous. The attention to detail is amazing. It is so private and lovely. The owner promptly answers any questions you have. The bathroom/ shower is fantastic. The towels smell like cherry and almond. You will LOVE it!!!

We loved this little gem!! We travel here each year for an archery tournament in Nelsonville. We decided to try a cabin this year and were so happy we did!! The cabin had everything we needed and more:) It’s a great little place to kick back, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings! We will definitely plan another stay in this cute, quaint and very clean little cabin:)

Property was more than we imagined. Clean and cozy with everything needed to make for a great long weekend, close to all Hocking Hills has to offer yet secluded enough to feel miles away from civilisation. My friend and I planned a short girls’ trip to Hocking Hills, and this cabin was the perfect place to stay for the two nights we were in town. It was clean, secure, and close to the parks. After a day of hiking, it was nice to come back and relax in such a quiet and peaceful setting. The owners did a great job of communicating with me and provided what we needed. There is no stove or oven, but we didn’t need that. We had dinner in town, and took breakfast and lunch out on the trails with us. This cabin is a great “home base” for a small group or individual looking to just spend a couple nights in the area.

Beds were awful. Either one. Needs a hot tub. Very small.

We stayed in this adorable cabin that was perfect for two. It was so clean & decorated so cute. The host provided everything you could think of needing & was always there to reach out to if we had any questions. We would definitely recommend to others! My favorite part was being surrounded by so many tree & a lot of nature. It’s in a beautiful spot! We spent most of our time hiking then had a nice place to come back & relax. We can’t wait to see what else you do with your property!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful little cabin. It was very clean and comfortable and well-stocked- the hosts even left us a bottle of wine for our weekend getaway! The hosts were very responsive and helpful throughout the stay, and they have clearly put a lot of thought into making the cabin a wonderful retreat. It was also centrally located to many of the area's hikes. Highly recommend. We can't wait to visit again.

The perfect place for our weekend stay. Location was ideal, property was clean, comfortable, and just what we wanted. Close to hiking trails. Loved waking up to the birds announcing dawn. Hosts communicated well and were both understanding and helpful. This stay was ideal for my wife and I. Highly recommended.

This little cabin was perfect for my kids and me. Feels very clean and new. I love that the cabin had wifi so I could still use my phone if I needed to. Made me feel safer, since we were the only people on the entire property. It has a pretty little stream that runs along side of it and many woods behind. Feels very private! We didn’t see anyone while there, and it isn’t right on the road like some cabins (plus it isn’t on a busy road). I let my younger daughter take the nicer bed in the loft because she was more eager to deal with climbing the ladder and the low ceiling above the bed. I could see some people having a hard time with that, but the pictures show it well enough to give you an idea of what it’s like. The pull out sofa is also an option. Beautiful bathroom/shower- didn’t run out of hot water during 3 consecutive showers. It was also nice that there was dry firewood available for purchase right next to the fire pit. Loved having my coffee on the front porch. Overall very cute tiny cabin!

This is the perfect place if you and your significant other are looking for a weekend away. The cabin is very clean and looked brand new as if we were the first to ever stay here. They really thought of everything when putting this one together and layout of this cabin was perfect for the two of us. It is in a great location and easy to get to all of the areas attractions. We would love to stay here again sometime!

This is a beautiful property with lots of privacy and easy access to all that Hocking Hills has to offer. The cabin is small, quaint, and immaculately clean. It's ideal for two, but we made it work for our family of five using the pull-out sofa and our own cot to sleep our three children. The host was very responsive and helpful, providing info and answering questions without delay. Next time, we'll make this a getaway cabin for two. Thanks for everything!

This cabin was immaculate and decorated like a feature in a magazine. You immediately were ready to relax in this cozy cabin. Our owners were very quick to reply to our questions which helped us to be prepared for our weekend. This little cabin is perfect for 2 adults but be prepared to climb a ladder to the bedroom in the loft! The owners have taken great care to pay attention to all the details to make your stay perfect!

It honestly was a perfect getaway for a few days. Completely secluded. House has just enough amenities. Could really ask for more. The fire pit was great and the loft was cute.

The cabin was very beautiful! You could tell it was well kept and that the owners really loved their cabin! It has everything we needed and even things that we forgot we needed! The owners were also very easy to deal with and went above and beyond. This was the best cabin rental experience we had!

My husband and I wanted to take a small trip for Valentine’s Day. We chose this cabin simply because of the seclusion and privacy but also how clean and pleasing it looked. It definitely lived up to the expectations! There was a small issue with a power outage that happened due to some line work but the property managers were great with communication and figuring out the problem. Would definitely recommend for a husband and wife getaway!

Loved every minute

This place was very cute, clean and cozy. We stayed here with my husband and our 2 kids who are ages 4 and 6. We trusted them on the ladder, but if you have small children it might not be the right cabin for you. We would definitely stay again.

Upon arrival, I was completely blown away at how perfect this cabin was for our little family. It’s a newer build (so everything is in tip-top shape construction wise). The owners have thought of every little thing you may need and it’s available to you for your stay (marshmallow roasting rods, firewood, lighters, flashlights, cooking utensils/plates/mixing bowls/plastic ware/full size refrigerator/electric skillet and griddle/microwave/towels/bedsheets/pillows... even a hair blow dryer in the shower house! All you really need to bring is your food and clothing. WiFi worked perfectly as well. Not only was the cabin was spotless, but it was decorated SO well! The cute front porch with fall decorations/real pumpkins,... the couch with its stylish pillows and cozy throws... it was all just so adorable 🥰. Some places seem so “cold” but we definitely felt like we were home here. Although this place was extremely close to hiking trails/waterfalls... my girls’ favorite part of the weekend away was playing at the cabin! They loved the creek-bed where we found a tiny salamander and some willy worms. I highly recommend coming to Jay Bear’s Cabin for a getaway, whether you’re right in Columbus and need a weekend away from the chaos,... or coming in from farther away. We will definitely be staying here again soon! (The host was also amazing at communicating with me; answered all questions and gave helpful tips. Very kind people!)
