The cottage was beautiful and cozy. Located perfectly just far enough away from town, but still close enough from beautiful downtown Staunton. Everything was clean, well organized, and the amenities were great. The farm animals made for a special added touch! Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed two nights here and it was lovely. During our stay a snow/ice storm passed through and many restaurants and stores closed. But the cottage stayed perfectly warm and was the perfect place to stay in and cook. We also enjoyed walking the frozen grounds and seeing the animals stay warm. We would definitely return in the future!

Nice, quiet setting in the country, but just a few minutes from downtown Staunton. Welcoming hosts, comfortable bed. Extremely clean and well set up. Be sure to say hello to the fainting goats and the pig! Truly enjoyable and recommended highly

We had a great time here, loved seeing the animals and hosts were very gracious!

Hosts did not send instructions until after we had started our journey, we had a 10 hour drive and instructions were sent 8 hours before we arrived. I don’t play with my phone while driving so didn’t see instructions until after we arrived. Male host got mad bc we parked in the wrong spot and was very rude and treated my wife and I as if we were 4 year olds(send parking instructions sooner!). Male host told us we couldn’t park where we were. I asked where would you like us to park. He said “go back out to the drive and go up to the next place, I’ll meet you up there”. So we drove to the next house we seen about 300 feet up the drive(this infuriated him). He then flailed around all upset and aggressively started flinging his hand toward a parking spot behind the building we originally parked in front of. I guess it would have been to hard to just tell us to pull around to the back side of the building. The left side of the couch smells like a sweaty butt and the plates were left dirty from the previous guests, looked like they had pizza. Obviously the hosts don’t check for cleanliness in between guests. We would have cleaned the dishes before using them anyways but you guys could have checked them. Not enough toilet paper was left in the house and after our first impression of dealing with the male host we didn’t want to contact them and ask for more. Toilet could use a scrubbing, moldy growth on front of bowl. Spider webs with hair in bathroom corners. Will not return

Katie and Jeremy are fabulous hosts. The property was spotless and very comfortable. The barnyard population added a different twist and we enjoyed watching the free range chickens and peacock-like birds pecking around the yard. We are especially grateful to them for their patience after I messed up our reservation and we were unable to leave at the required checkout time. We highly recommend a stay at Firefly Cottage in Staunton, VA!

We would definitely stay again if we were in the area .The host was excellent, all you had to do was call if you needed anything. If you are looking for a quiet place that has everything you would need nearby, then this is the place to stay.

We had a great time at the firefly cottage! Was close to everything we wanted to do in the area, super clean, very friendly hosts and adorable farm with lots of animals. We'll definitely stay again.
