The apartment was fantastic, comfortable and stylish, we did not want to leave. supplied us with quality coffees, teas,milk and goodies. even dishwasher tablets and washing powder. everything in the apartment is high quality and I can't wait to stay again.

I hated leaving, there really is nothing bad to say about this place. I loved that it was relaxing and like a home away from home ( but more stylish and zero children and stress)

The whole vibe of the place. The whole place was stunning and there was plenty facilities , we just had a great night.

Parking is an issue but we managed to get beside it but if you come in more than 1 car you’ll need to pay for parking or you’ll end up with a ticket as it’s permit holders only.

Tv in kitchen wasn’t working & couldn’t get hob to work.

Location was good, very nice apartment had a real luxury feel and the bath was awesome!

Only thing that let it down was that the room was absolutely boiling!! And the windows only opened at the top just a little bit so we couldn’t let much cool air in.

Funky design, good location

Too fussy with the entry procedure, take 2 master degree holder to finish the job, plush 1 neighbor took pity on us to let us into first door, because took them the same trouble to get in. Should be much simple for the guest- locker box, and it’s way too hot in the room and whole building.

Room was lovely , very clean could not fault the room

Unfortunately the hot tub broke early on in the night which meant we could not use it , this was what we went for just to chill out in the hot tub, we were advised someone was coming to fix the issue but sadly no one turned up , this ruined our stay

After an initial mix up at the funky monk we were dealt with expertly by the staff at the ramside hotel (who owns the property) alternatives were suggested and we ended up being upgraded into a treehouse at the ramside Hotel (approx 5 mins drive away) the staff couldn't do enough for us and the manager John seen to us personally. When you book this stay please rest assured you are in safe hands should an hiccup occur, this hasn't put us off booking the funky monk infact it's had the opposite effect, we will definitely be back

Location Decor Dog friendly

Some kitchen appliances didn’t work as result of damage caused by previous guests so we had to use a second room for our fridge contents. Unable to use dishwasher to clear up our dishes.

I liked everything was a great place to stay at a great location.

We had trouble getting into our room everytime we went to go in.

Everything was just perfect if you’re looking for a luxury high end stay this is the place

Beautiful apartment, quirky and different! Clean and great size

Far too hot , no fans , or air con , we stayed on the top floor , the cloister and it was just so hot , Even with all the windows open

The apartment was immaculate, very comfortable, everything we needed. The housekeeper was so lovely and very helpful. We would definitely recommend the funky monk.

The only downside was the steps up to the property, we travelled with our elderly mother and her mobility isn't great but apart from that the property was perfect.

It was easy to access the key access system was easy to use. The place was spotless and really comfortable. Wifi worked really well in the apartment.

There wasn't anything I didn't like about the accommodation.

We stayed in the Temple of Funk and it was amazing. The copper bath was incredible. The bed was the comfiest I had stayed in and overall we just felt really spoilt. The little touches of water and snacks being left were also hugely appreciated. We loved that we could stay somewhere so luxurious with a dog. It was a real treat - we will definitely be back.

We weren't aware there would be no oven to use . Due to it being apartments you can hear lots of moving around from the apartment above you - especially if they're partying/staying up late. Apart from those two things it was faultless.

The property was beautiful, really well designed and had everything that you would need. It was in a great location. Everything was presented in a high quality.

Only one minor inconvenience was that I didn’t know what room we were booked into (the name of it), so when we arrived at the property I did have to attempt all of the doors in order to find out what room was ours!

poor parking in surrounding area Ona. Saturday, we drive around for 35 mins trying to get a space, I’d suggest going early couldn’t get the heating to work but a member of staff came and sorted it within 10 mins

Beautiful luxurious spotlessly clean apartment. Quirky and fun theme. Generous treats e.g fudge, crisps,popcorn etc.

Was told toiletries provided but disappointed to find only one tiny bottle of shower gel between 3 rooms (5 people) so couldn’t experience the beautiful copper bath :( No welcome information explaining how to alter heating, use the hob, operate the sofa bed. Lamp not working at dressing table. Very limited utensils in the kitchen, not even a sharp knife.

The property is fabulously finished with high quality products and has a real luxurious feel to it. Quirky decor. Good location

Lack of info. nothing in the apartments to tell you about parking (area is all permit holders only), check out times, where/how to use the sofa bed, tv unit, facilities within the apartment… the usual guide book you would find in other places which tell you about the apartment and interesting places to visit, eat etc. We also didn’t know which apartment ‘number’ we had booked so had to try the electronic key on all rooms until one opened.

Took my partner here for her birthday and we were over the moon with the apartment, the secluded hot tub and sauna were great, the whole experience was great from start to finish and it definitely earned me some brownie points
