The hot tub was fantastic! Really added that extra ‘something special.’
The setting is beautiful, lovely and quiet.
The kids play equipment in the garden was well received by our children.
The host was kind and helpful, especially in sorting out a couple of issues that arose during our stay.
Cleanliness could have been better, particularly in the kitchen.
Lots of areas around the property could do with some TLC - various things falling off when you touch them - cupboard doors not properly hung etc.
An airer to hang and dry towels would be helpful, especially as there is a hot tub.

We loved everything about this beautiful lodge. My kids would have enjoyed WiFi though!

Pros: This property is well located for access to York’s attractions. (Via park and ride) The contact Christine was friendly and responded quickly when we had some questions about the property and the hot tub was very enjoyable in the peaceful countryside where the lodge was.
Cons: No WiFi. (Doesn’t say has WiFi, but I assumed everywhere does 😩) EE 5G signal was also weak.
The property needs a bit of tlc to make it better (broken door handles, gaps in flooring, deep clean would be good) also, wardrobes were mostly filled with spare bedding etc so it was difficult to hang clothes and settle in. These were mostly minor areas but if sorted out would make the stay much more relaxing (e.g. not having to spend 5 mins struggling to get the front door locked...)
