Public House Hotel Bangkok, a Member of Design Hotels

The room was excellent, and the bed deserves a special mention — genuinely the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. The bed linen was also fantastic. I really appreciated the complimentary water, coffee and tea in the room, as well as the small welcome and farewell treats. The internet was very fast and reliable, and the hotel has a great space for working on a laptop, which was especially useful for me. The biggest highlight, though, was the staff. Som, Tubtim, and the whole team were incredibly warm, welcoming and always ready to help with anything. Their hospitality made the stay feel very personal.

The area around the hotel is quite expensive when it comes to cafés and restaurants, although everything I tried was genuinely very good. The pool is quite small, so it’s not really for swimming, but it’s perfectly fine if you just want to relax and cool down.

I manage the largest property of its type in another country, so am very much in the accommodation/hospitality business and know how things work - and I can honestly say this is an easy 10/10 stay! Everything was perfect from the get go. The friendly greeting and tasty welcome drink, the beautiful decor, our lovely corner room, the location, the staff, the food - it’s all top notch. Having stayed in this area before, we were drawn to the style of Public House. It did not disappoint! The hotel is beautiful and very well thought out. We loved the light switches in the room, the little coffee machine and interesting teas, the daily treats brought to us and presented with a card explaining, the Japanese style toilet, the beautiful bathroom and tiling, the breakfast lady who knew we always wanted two flat whites each every morning, the birthday cake with a card from the manager, really unique co-working space that even had decks and a recording studio, the chill rooftop area….i could go on and on. The breakfast was superb too. Thank you Public House, you made our birthday trip special, we had a great time! 🙏

We did not like that people could work on their laptops in the restaurant. Especially taking the best corner table at the window for many many hours. This was our only fault and is small, but worth a note.

Nice clean room , good position , friendly staff and very helpful

We arrived early after a long overnight flight and had asked if we could check in early but was told ahead of time subject to availability . On arrival were told our room was ready but if we wanted it now we would have to pay a additional £50 or wait 2 hours - most hotels if the room is available would not charge so thought this was a bit unreasonable
