Had everything you needed. Such a nice area and secure for dogs too. Coffee machine was a little bonus and milk provided too. Even left a little present since we stayed for our anniversary. Hot tub was just what was needed after day of exploring.

Such a beautiful place, the cow shed is compact but spacious due to how thoughtfully it has been designed.
The location is quiet and peaceful.
Rachel was lovely, the handwritten welcome notes are such a lovely touch as was the treats and water bowl for our doggie companion.
Nothing, there were a few flies but its the countryside in summer so cannot be helped.

Cowshed is very nicely done out, clean, and had everything that you need for a self catering stay
We are a mum and daughter and booked this two night stay specifically because we wanted a hot tub weekend. Check-in isn’t until 4 pm and we didn’t know that it would take us so long to get the hot tub working. We struggled to light the fire, and by the time we did and then it took several hours to warm the water up - it was nearly midnight before we managed to get in the tub on the first night. On the second day we lit the fire earlier, and then it ended up so hot that we couldn’t get in it for several hours - so it was another very late one by the time we got it to the right temperature.
For anybody that is used to woodfired hot tubs, I’m sure they would’ve coped better. We weren’t used to them, and really struggled. Given that the hot tub was the point of our special birthday weekend as mother and daughter, it kind of spoilt it for us. More instructions (such as just how long it’s likely to take to warm up) would’ve been really helpful. Having the hot tub warmed up before we got there would’ve been a helpful touch.
The owners wanted to charge more for a slightly earlier arrival, on the basis that they said they ‘needed time to get the hot tub ready’. It’s a shame the hot tub wasn’t ready for our normal time arrival, therefore.
We also felt by the end of day 2 that if we have wanted to have a hot tub the following morning it would’ve been like sitting in the same bathwater for three days! Took the shine off for us.
