Superb location, staff were super accommodating and kind.

The room was really tiny, and the bed was small for 2 people. For the price, it felt less luxurious than a 'premier inn' room but at 2.5x the price.

Great location close to lots of restaurants. In the morning you can grab a coffee (available in lobby 24 hrs) and walk across the street to watch the sunrise. Very touristy during the day but gets quieter at night. Nice facility - especially enjoyed the courtyard. Staff was great as was the breakfast.

The room was a little small and there was limited space to put clothes (no drawers).

The personal was very friendly and helpfull. The location was excellent, many good restaurants on walking distance

The hotel is nicely situated in Alfama - central to everything in the neighborhood with a nice patio area where you can meet other people or just watch confused tourists clumsily stumble across the uneven cobblestone streets. The staff was very gracious, the coffee machine made decent coffee and one can tell that the property tries to accommodate with a nice personalized welcome letter and complementary pastries upon check in.

I had three issues that made my stay less than ideal... First, the blackout curtains didn't extend to the edge of the window which meant that bright light streamed into my room every morning at 7am - not when I personally wanted to get up after long days of traipsing around the city. Second, on one of the days I was there they had a singer playing guitar and singing for two hours in the courtyard. It sounds like a cool thing but in reality, no one was there, and the off key vocals amplified directly into my room when I was just trying to relax before dinner. Totally unnecessary. Lately, chemicals. The sheets were white as snow, but the bleach used to get them that way was intense. It took the entire first day for the smell to subside and Im pretty sure it gave me some intense eye irritation. I respect this place trying to do a good job, but these things made my stay uncomfortable and I was very happy to leave after my second night. I got a way better place for less money.
