This is a really nice apartment. Although only one bedroom (which is separate from the living area) it is spacious and very comfortable, with absolutely everything you could need for either a short stay, or in my case for almost 2 weeks. There is a nice, private balcony where you can sit and have breakfast or coffee, or just take in the sun. The apartment is in a great location, close to Corso Gelone, one of the main shopping streets, and only a short walk (10 minutes approx) to Parco Archeologico and the Museum in one direction, and Ortigia in the other. A highlight of my stay was the hosts, who are excellent - before I arrived communication was easy using the Booking.com messaging facility and they always responded very quickly. Once I was there, I found them so welcoming, friendly and helpful. They are very close by, quickly respond to text messages, and are available to help resolve any questions (such as the rubbish collection requirements).

Having the washing machine in the bathroom takes up a bit of space, but on balance it was better to have it, especially for a longer stay such as mine.
