1909 Guesthouse

If you are looking for a secluded hotel with impressive history and you love nature, this is your place to go :-) 1909 Guesthouse was fantastic. I do not have words to describe how great time we had at 1909. Before taking the trip to Greece I was actually fantasizing how cool it would be to stay in a monastery, and this guesthouse was the closest to that idea! So secluded, private, unique, beautiful, charming, original. It wasn't just a visual experience but spiritual. It was like a dream. The nature surrounding 1909 is beautiful, the view from the balcony couldn't be better. We had all sorts of weather within those 3 nights, but each was making the place equally attractive. There are so many cool things to do in the area. We were constantly torn between wanting to go sightseeing and just staying at the guesthouse and enjoying the atmosphere. We had really good breakfast at the Grand Chalet restaurant (I also recommend dinners). The walk to get breakfast was fun, plus the restaurant offers you more stunning views. Staff was extremely nice and helpful, wonderful people running 1909 and Grand Chalet. We really got attached! Amazing hospitality.

.great location and views. great and generous breakfast. specious room with a balkony .The hosts were lovely and ready to help with anything. a small bottle of wine was waiting for us in the fridge A pleasant and cozy shared seating area. we highly recomend this place

This is not a suitable place for people with walking difficulties since its a bit of a hike to get from the car to the entrance. only one small thing to improve: It's a shame there isn't a trash can in the room.

Guesthouse 1909 is a wonderful and incredibly special place! It is situated right next to, and belongs to, one of the oldest monasteries in the world. Beyond the incredible location, perched high above breathtaking scenery, it also has a fascinating history and story. The hotel itself is decorated in a unique, antique style and is spotlessly clean. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are amazing (with beautiful mountain views from every angle), the showers are great, and Zoe and her brother are exceptionally lovely and welcoming! The absolute highlight is the breakfast down at their parents' compound (it requires a bit of walking up and down, but it's healthy after eating so much!). The breakfast is indulgent, and of course, you get to sit on a balcony overlooking an unbelievable view. Simply perfect! Don't miss out

Emplacement

Quelle déception ! A part l'emplacement rien ne va. Pas d'âme, accueil correct sans plus. A notre départ, personne, on laisse les clés sur un bureau. Le comble petit-déjeuner à prendre dans un restaurant en contrebas et de piètre qualité.
