Livadhi Guesthouse

We highly recommend staying overnight at Livadhi Guesthouse rather than visiting the Shala River as a day trip. Once the tour boats leave, it becomes so much quieter and feels much more authentic. We loved sitting around the campfire on the beach at night and making friends with other guests. The view from our balcony overlooking the river was incredibly serene in the morning, before Shala had fully woken up for the day. Breakfast is included in the stay, as well as sun loungers at the beach! The young man running the guesthouse was incredibly hospitable and spoke excellent English. We had a small room mix-up and were asked if we’d be willing to switch rooms. He was very apologetic and offered us complimentary drinks for the inconvenience, which we really appreciated. The guesthouse is only accessible by boat, and we highly recommend booking their boat for €25/person rather than going through a tour company. Their boat was much less crowded than the tour boats we saw packed with people.

This was a great location and so relaxing and peaceful! The food in the restaurant is lovely and they had great coffee!

Clean and spacious, close walk from the boat drop off. Nice bar & restaurant attached

A little noisy from other guests

Balcony was nice and location is good.

Felt like in a camping, for this price I would wish for a better looking bathroom and room for 2 without extra 2 beds.
