Step Inn - Kazbegi

It was new so really everything worked and looked very nice. Hopefully they will maintain it well in the years ahead. Views are tremendous and location great for the nearby mountain attractions.

Staff, especially in the restaurant, could use some serious retraining. Waiters were not very professional and when there was a power outage they really had no clue how to respond. Rather than try to figure out what was happening and trying to figure out the best options for the customers all they cared about was being defensive and shouting at customers that it wasn't their fault that there was an electricity outage (which, as far as I could tell, nobody in the restaurant even suggested, of course it's not their fault). Just a weird vibe, and they weren't that friendly even before the power issues.

Location was good, view from the balcony right on the church and mountains. Friendly staff. Restaurant had a good tasty food.

It was not clean. Bedside table had a stain from the glass. Sink in the bathroom was not cleaned at all, glass in the shower covered with old water stains, floor had hair and stains of dirt. Also I’ve message the hotel with some enquiry and they never read my massage. But when they needed to contact me there was massage from them in the same chat with full ignore of my previous message.

Nice facilities, very helpfull staff

The view from the room in the morning was magnificent. Receptionist was polite. Has a heated towel dryer in the bathroom.

The room was kinda run down. The shower was broken. Also had to fix the shampoo dispenser myself (not a big deal, but shows lack of attention to details). The curtains were not properly closing too. The entrance door of the room sagged and was scraping the floor. The extraction fan in the bathroom was very noisy. A mop in the shower (I guess to wipe splashes from the shower). Sauna is at extra charge (which came as a surprise, never seen that in my life before). Different mugs in the room. The description of the hotel say “4 star experience”, but in my opinion it is very far from 4 stars (and I work in hospitality sector)
