Absolutely everything from the lovely location to the amazing welcome food pack. The flat is well thought out and beautifully decorated and the host has thought of absolutely everything you might need. It’s a quiet, leafy location just a short walk into town. Parking is a brilliant bonus given how expensive that is in York. Some great, friendly pubs nearby. We had an amazing breakfast all supplied by Eleanor. Would not hesitate to recommend or book again.

What was there not to like. A very comfortable and fully equipped apartment in a Victorian garden square, beautifully decorated with a cosy feel, an extraordinarily generous welcome hamper (milk, orange juice, eggs, butter, yogurts, fresh bread, jams, honey, marmalade, coffee, teas, biscuits!), and all in a prime location within walking distance of the old medieval city centre, train station, bus routes. The owner Eleanor was a wonderful host and great communicator from start to finish.

Charming little apartment in a period property on a quiet, leafy square. Beautifully decorated with vintage furniture and lots of thoughtful touches to make your stay easy and enjoyable — including fresh bread and eggs for making yourself a slap-up breakfast. Comfortable, clean and an easy 15 minute stroll into the centre — an ideal location for a short stay.
There is a low beam in the bathroom, which taller visitors need to be careful of or risk a nasty headache.
