Union Creek Resort

The room was a tiny cabin--pretty cool and quiet as far as hearing other guests goes. Beautiful surroundings. Middle of nowhere, which makes perfect sense given the proximity to Crater Lake. Thank god for Becky's across the street--great food and service!

The reception was pretty rushed and not very welcoming--basically, "Here's your key you're on your own till morning." No one on site between 7pm and 8am. They warned us about the spotty wifi but were kind of like "that's the way it is--too bad if it doesn't work." It didn't. I'm not attached to my phone, but it would have been good to be connected when leaving--we couldn't access GPS and went quite a while out of our way to get back to Astoria. Definitely have directions down before staying here. There was a lot of animal noise which was a bit disruptive sleep wise.

We cooked our own breakfast. The oven was a bit greasy, which I told the manager. I love the location of the cabin, about 30 minutes outside Crater Lake and close to other waterfalls and gorges. Beautiful area.

I was surprised that there were plumbing issues. The toilet was not working properly and was overflowing into the shower. Also overflowing in the kitchen sink. I told the manager about the situation.

Close to Crater Lake and gorgeous falls! Bed was comfortable. Shelby was fantastic checking us in and incredibly helpful.

Cabins were cute, but smelly and dark. No cell service and WiFi was NOT good. Mostly got kicked off. Another reception person was surly. I didn’t catch her name, but she was inhospitable.
