This house is quaint, great view of the ocean from the balcony and just a two minute walk to the beach. There is plenty of room in the house with its three levels. I unfortunately have allergies to cats and dogs and I definitely smelled cat urine throughout the house. My eyes burned at times and I had to take allergy medicine the whole weekend. Once I got outside the house I was fine. Even though there are hardwood floors it seriously needs a steam clean of the floors and the area rugs.

I was looking for a quiet place to vacation near the Hampton beaches. This house was perfect! Nice ocean views, walking distance to the beach and immaculate and well kept house. Vacationed with family and had one of our most memorable vacation yet. Will definitely do it again!

I cannot say enough good things- we have rented in montauk for over 5 years and this home was by far the best for my family needs. Hither Hills is hands down the best location in Montauk - beaches never hit that "crowded beach blanket to beach blanket" feel you get by the hotels. This house is in the heart of it - which is just great. This home is fully stocked and very clean: bed linens, bath towels, beach towels, beach chairs, Kitchen is also well stocked with all the essentials to cook if you choose. Walking to and from beach several times a day is a non issue due to its location which is a huge plus with younger kids and older visitors. Main living space is just terrific with views of the ocean and an open floor plan across kitchen, dining and living room. Bedrooms are more than ample in size and each one has its own bathroom. Study also has a pull out sofa and there are several aerobeds if needed. Lastly - owner was an absolute pleasure to deal with.

This was our first time staying at this house and it was as advertised: VERY short walk to the beach, great ocean views (and sounds) from the living room and deck, short drive to town, well maintained and comfortable. We enjoyed being able to sit on the deck and just chill at sunset to the sight of the ocean. The kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed to make meals and our favorite frozen drinks. We will definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay. The house was better than expected - it was immaculate and fully equipped, even including beach chairs and equipment which made it that much of an easier vacation. The master bedroom, bathroom and deck were really great and spacious. Very short walk to a beautiful beach and on a quiet street, also with a nice water view. Ron was very responsive and easy to work with. It was a great family vacation, and I would just note that you do need a car to get around to restaurants or shopping, and the house has 3 levels so wouldn't be great for people that can't handle stairs. I would definitely recommend it, and would come back myself!

We have stayed in this home on three different occassions and have enjoyed it every time! The location is great - you really CAN walk right down to the beach in two minutes! The house is comfortable and well appointed. Our family of 5 (with three teens) fits comfortably, even when my Mom has joined us. While you can't really walk to town, it is an easy drive and the kitchen is certainly large enough and has everything you need to prepare meals at home. I would highly recommend the house for anyone looking for a summer family get-away!

This rental home was perfect for my family's needs. It was well maintained and orderly. Communication with the owner was easy throughout the whole process. The house is a very short walk to a beautiful beach but it's nice that you can enjoy the view from the top floor of the house itself, as well. The main living area provides a nice open floor plan, great for everyone to spend time together whether cooking, eating or relaxing on the couch. The bedrooms provide more than enough room for sleeping and having a bathroom in each was a huge plus. We were also able to set up a portable crib for our son in the master bedroom since there was plenty of space. The outdoor shower was a nice perk, something we always enjoy having at the beach! I cannot speak to the surrounding area, restaurants or travel time to scenic locations as we were there strictly for a family wedding and had no time to spare for other activities.

I would definitely recommend this house to a friend looking to rent in Montauk. The top floor living area is very comfortable and the views of the ocean are spectacular. It's well appointed if you want to stay in and cook but we took advantage of the fine restaurants in town which, by the way, is only a short drive. Very quiet neighborhood and the beach is just a short walk down the hill and across Old Montauk Highway. My wife and I would stay here again happily.
