Would not recommend. I am surprised such a property is allowed to be advertised on booking.com

Nothing , left after minutes . Didn’t feel safe

Security risks , doors shown to have previously been tampered with and in breach

It felt unhygienic and unsafe — definitely would not recommend

The only positive was the location – very central in Basingstoke, close to the mall and other amenities.

The flat itself was in very poor condition: • The building entrance and stairway were very dirty. • The kitchen walls had visible stains, and the stove was covered with burnt residue. • Glasses in the cabinets were sticky and dirty. • Towels had an unpleasant smell and had to be washed before use. • The carpets were filthy, with feathers, leaves and general dirt (we had to vacuum ourselves). • The bedroom door was broken, with clear signs of forced entry, and the lock had been removed and left under the TV. • There was a leak from the bathroom into the bedroom. • Windows hadn’t been cleaned in years, with cobwebs all over the outside. Overall, the flat felt unmaintained and unhygienic, which made our stay very uncomfortable. I cannot recommend this property in its current state.

It was a lovely stay.

Host were very hospitable, beds were comfy, kitchen fully equipped, toiletries provided in abundance and towels..

They would benefit from deep cleaning the windows and the walls might need a touch of paint.

Great location and privacy

The room located the upper floor of a bar. If there is open, the bar will be very noisy with Karaoke until 3am.
