The staff were extremely kind and welcoming, and the location was absolutely perfect. The historic building has so much character and a lovely, traditional Peruvian feel. We stayed before and after our trip to Machu Picchu, and we really appreciated how the staff responded to our concerns. After we mentioned the noise in our ground-floor room, they arranged an upstairs room for our return. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
Sound carries quite clearly between the floors. On our first night in a ground-floor room, we could hear people walking upstairs, which made it very difficult to sleep. The wooden floors are quite squeaky, which seems to be part of the character of an older building, but it is worth knowing if you are a light sleeper. Thankfully, the staff were understanding and arranged a different room when we returned.

The staff were really nice and it was in a great location. The courtyard was beautiful.
Check in was at 12, I arrived at 2pm and had to wait because the room was not ready. It is very loud there and guests and late night staff are not considerate at all for people sleeping. The cobblestones don't help but they add to the charm of course. My bathroom was quite dated and tired looking.
