Breakfast was plentiful & very good
The location is excellent to get to the beach, the castle, the river & beyond to Amble etc
There isn't any parking at the Inn but you can find it fairly easily nearby
They could add a continental option to breakfast (cereal, fruit, yoghurt etc in case people don't want hot, cooked food).

The location was ideal. in the middle of the village. village store across the road. Friendly bar and nice beer garden. nice church in the village and an easy walk albeit up hill to the castle.
no car parking at the hotel but easy to find a free space oposite

Really nice staff- very friendly and helpful. The location is great, you are in the heart of a lovely village. The building is charming, as are the village and the castle.
The bathroom is outside of the room and it is ancient. The whole place is not only old but a bit crumbling. The check in is till 20:00 so if you are landing later, forget it. If you opt for breakfast, don't choose the sandwich. Bare unedible bread and bacon, not a hint of anything green. The price should be 30% lower.
