FUMAI sauna &INN-遠赤外線サウナ-松江の歴史と文化と共に過ごすsmart hotel

松江市の一番静かな一番魅力的な近所にあります。飲み歩きにももちろん最適だし、観光にもぴったりです。サウナ付きの部屋もかなり珍しくてとてもよかったです。

サウナが温まるまで10分かかりますよ！と注意されましたが、実は30分以上もかかりました...

I loved the TV room, the second bedroom, the bath and sauna. It’s conveniently located about 1.2km from Matsue station, but there’s a bus stop not too far away. Everything was great.

The sauna’s temperature wasn’t that high. It took about 40 minutes for me to finally break a sweat. It’s not a big issue though.

普段サウナを利用することがないので、他の人を気にすることなくサウナを楽しめること。 部屋の非日常感が面白い。 共用キッチン&スペースは滞在利用の場合はとても重用します。

シャワーを使おうと蛇口をひねったら、シャワーヘッドが取れた。 はまりが悪かっただけかな？と思い、はめ直そうとしましたが、壊れているようで、はめてもシャワーにしたらすぐ取れました。 しょうがないので、固定シャワーを使いましたが こういう箇所のチェックはお客様のチェックアウト後は必ず毎回してもらいたいです。

Location by the river was nice. Amenities in the shower were good.

A lot of things didn't add up for a Japanese hotel. The most uncomfortable thing was not having a window in the room, and also the 'smart' lights turning on at night any time you get up to use the bathroom and it wasn't adjustable. It would be preferable to just have a 'dumb' switch. Check-in was weird, the PIN code was sent ahead of time but you don't know which room is yours until you call the property and someone tells you which room. There were no mugs or teabags which is unusual for Japan; there was only one bowl (for matcha, the powder is in the fridge) and 2 wine glasses for some reason. Sauna was not hot enough as others have noted. 'Communal room' was also strange, there was no signage on the doors leading to it. Once you do go inside it had a weird layout - one treadmill, one pair of dumbbells, a messy drink area with a coffee machine and a random table and chairs. Overall it was fine for the price over a holiday period but I would not recommend this property if there are other available ones in Matsue.
