Location and accommodation used as an overnight stopover, before heading northbound though Glencoe and beyond the next day, so proved and ideal place to break the journey. Bonus was that a full breakfast is included too (but didn't realise this was provided in the hotel, as we initially assumed Glenbruar House was an independent business, not an extension of the hotel). Fab breakfast also took one big dilemma out of the morning equation, as we left more than fully fuelled up and ready to go. Not much to shout about in Crianlarich, but we did take a short walk down the road for a drink at the local pub which was fine, or you could do the same without walking, and enjoy the hotel bar. Heading back to Scotland shortly, so would definitely consider stopping here again.

The room was good, clean and comfortable and had a great night's sleep too. The only slight letdown was that the fixtures and fittings and general finish (more-so the bathroom) could do with a bit of an upgrade, but nothing major to complain about at all really. Seeing as it was considerably cheaper for the one night than the main hotel (and with the same hotel breakfast) it was good value for money, and especially in comparison to many other, more-expensive options in the area (without the breakfast being included).

From when I arrived and checked in across the road - the staff were just amazing! so friendly & helpful. They helped get my bag out from the coded room and booked me in for breakfast & dinner. The room in the house was excellent - lovely and clean, the bed was super comfy and the shower was amazing. Had the best night sleep of my whole walk here. Dinner at the hotel was really good - I got a GF chilli and breakfast was severed at a great time of 7 (important when you have a full days walking and want to get up & going ).

Handy location, good breakfast.

The smell when you entered the front door, the leak in the roof above the stairwell, the poorly draining shower, the fact there was no form of hand soap in the very small ensuite. This was the most expensive accommodation we have stayed in in Scotland and by far the poorest quality.
