The Frontier motel seems to be the only motel functioning in Cuba, and there is much to be said for that. We stayed there in our way to Chaco Canyon. The hotel was pleasant, clean, comfortable enough and not a bad place to crash for a night. I didn't expect much based on the reviews, but it was really not bad.
The one problem was the hot water for the shower. I tried forever to get it going and it wasn't working. I had to call the attendant, and it was hard for her as well. We finally got it going, but it never got hotter than lukewarm.
Unfortunately, we were traveling in the heat of the summer, so I couldn't really skip a shower that night.

Conveniently located for those, like me, who spent the day at Chaco Canyon. The room I stayed in was clean, quiet and comfortable. The motel is walking distance to a good Mexican restaurant.
I mistakenly left a personal item in the room and the person on duty contacted me about it immediately and mailed it back to my home address, which I greatly appreciate!
This is out of the property’s control, but the bridge immediately down the only road through Cuba was under active construction, and this made ingress and egress a bit more complicated than it would be normally.

I like they left me a message how to get to my room. We came after midnight and nobody was there. everything was closed.
Location not nice, but we did not have choice where to stay. No Breakfast next morning
