Alvin Comfort Hotel

Everything was very clean, modern and comfortable. The room was spacious and well equipped, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very good. We also appreciated the convenient parking and the location close to the beach. A very pleasant stay!

Nothing to complain about. Everything met our expectations.

Les chambres sont représentatives des photos du site. La literie est très confortable. Le balcon est bien équipé, table chaises. La propreté des chambres est est très bonne . Le petit déjeuner est varié et permet de conforter toutes les personnes souhaitant manger européen, continental ou végétarien ou végan. L’hôtel propose breakfast, déjeuner, snack dîner. L’hôtel se situe entre 50 et 100 mètres de la plage, ce qui est en vrai plus pour aller admirer le coucher ou le lever du soleil (Attention. Toutefois, en saison l’hôtel ne possédait pas une plage privée, il serait probablement difficile de se baigner proche de l’hôtel. Hors, saison cela n’a pas d’importance. Toute la plage redevient quasi accessible.)

La piscine ne semblait pas fonctionnelle présence de feuilles poussières Le chauffe-eau des chambres est assez petit, il faut donc être efficace sous la douche.

I spent one night in Durrës with my wife and daughter. There are several hundred places to stay in Durrës, but we wanted to stay at a mid-range plus hotel, so we ended up at Alvin. The staff was very friendly, the room was rather new and looked nice and the breakfast which was served at the table was good. Apart from that, we did not enjoy our stay at the hotel.

We did not pay extra for a room with a sea-view, which means we ended up with a room over-looking the noisy highway. There is quite a lot of traffic 24 hours a day. The beds were surprisingly hard and uncomfortable, the pool was not heated and dirty, so we could not use it in mid may. The beaches in Durrës are dirty, if you compare it to a European standard, so we did not enjoy bringing our 2-year old there. But the worst part by far was the parking. The hotel only had 3-4 parkings spaces out front, that we could see, so we asked if could park on the side of the building. The staff said we could park anywhere, and that it was no problem. The next morning a random car had block our car in, so we where stuck. After some investigation it turns out that it was the manager at the hotel next door who had blocked our way out on purpose, and he refused to move his car when we asked him to!! Apparently the two hotels had an ongoing conflict about parking, and we where stuck for over one hour after we had checked out, waiting for the two manageres to argue the matter over....
