It’s more of an Airbnb than a traditional hotel, so there was no breakfast or any other meals provided. On the other hand, we had a small flat all to ourselves, right in the beautiful Montmartre district with the Sacré-Cœur just on our doorstep. There are excellent links to the underground, and there are plenty of shops and great restaurants within walking distance.
The handover of the keys and the briefing were conducted entirely in French; I did my best, but I’m not sure if I understood everything. Basically, it seems to be a normal residential building, and you’re asked to keep as quiet as possible, as the walls are very thin. Unfortunately, a few things weren’t quite up to scratch – the broken toilet seat, for example, or the burn hole in the sofa bed. But all in all, we felt at home.
