Parking. Not convenient when the hotel is having an event. Registered guests can’t find parking if not right in front of hotel. Maybe create a parking lot on the side of the building.

I was very impressed. Rooms are stylish and comfortable - big too. Everything was clean and comfortable as you would expect anywhere, but the bonuses make the place truly special. We stayed in the Deacon John and Allan Toussaint rooms. The hotel is staffed 24 hours, so when our room felt hot, they immediately remedied. You can explore the music venue and museum downstairs. The place has a fabulous pool and courtyard on two levels. Some of the rooms are inside the main building, and some are accessed from outside like an old motel. None are accessible without getting through a locked and monitored front door. I love the vintage radios in each room. What an appropriate gesture given the musical history. The staff was the most helpful and hospitable I've encountered in a very long time. They also let us checkout two hours late for a small fee, at 2 PM, I think.

Inconsistent policies on smoking in courtyard area. One employee took issue which is an exception to all other hotel policies I've encountered in New Orleans. The neighborhood isn't what most tourists would desire especially without a car. It's doable by foot but you are in Central City.
