The hotel is in an excellent location. At first, I didn't like the idea of paying for valet parking, but in reality, it made our trip a lot easier! The parking process was super convenient. The hotel itself is very quaint and fun. It does need some carpet update, though, which is keeping the musty smell in. One other issue was that people didn't quite abide by the smoking area rules, and for some reason, there were lots of smokers when we visited. We didn't get to use the amenities, sadly, but the pool looked nice and clean! We also didn't get to try the diner, as our schedule kept us out at the times it was open. The menu didn't seem to have a lot of options, but since we didn't get to visit it, I can't say anything about the place, only that it looked nostalgic.
The staff was super nice and helpful (and patient with all the questions and requests). Overall, the hotel had exceeded most of our expectations, and we would stay here again when we need to be in LA, especially for an extended stay like the last one.
