Rock n Roll by AvantStay: a bold, cleanly styled stay a few blocks from the Walk of Fame, with reserved parking and Roscoe's next door. Rock n Roll sits on Gower Street in the middle of Hollywood, inside a pink building you'll spot from the corner. The decor is loud in the best way, the beds are not, and the location does most of the planning for you. Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles is right next door, Sugarfish is around the corner on Sunset, and the Hollywood Palladium is a two-minute walk. Head a few blocks north and you're at Hollywood and Vine, with the Pantages Theatre on one side and the Walk of Fame stretching out in both directions. Inside, the open living area gives everyone room to spread out, with a 65-inch TV for game days and movie nights. The kitchen is compact and well stocked, with coffee and tea in the pantry and a filtered water pitcher ready to go. Trader Joe's is about a five-minute walk, so stocking up for the weekend is easy. Each bedroom has a queen Casper mattress, its own 50-inch TV, and blackout curtains for sleeping in after a late show. Guests often mention the bathrooms too, which are roomier than you'd expect this close to Hollywood Boulevard. Step outside to a gated courtyard you share with just one neighboring unit, a quiet spot for morning coffee before the day gets going. Your reserved parking space is behind the gate as well, which guests call out again and again in a city where parking is half the battle. Laundry is shared on site, and pets are welcome for a fee. This is a city block, and it sounds like one. Street noise from Gower carries into the home, most noticeably in the living room, and the age of the building means sound travels between units. We've made upgrades to soften it and keep earplugs on hand, and plenty of guests tell us it never bothered them. If you're a light sleeper, it's worth knowing before you book. When you want to venture further, Hollywood Forever Cemetery is an easy walk, the Paramount studio lot is about a mile south, The Grove is a short drive west, and Universal Studios Hollywood is roughly 15 minutes away by car. Hollywood has drawn dreamers for more than a century, and it still feels like the center of the story. From here you can be on Sunset in minutes, catch a touring Broadway show, or drive out to Santa Monica and Venice for an afternoon at the beach. Many careful upgrades and renovations have taken place here, however noise still travels throughout this historic location. The age of the building allows noise to travel easily between neighboring units. We do our best to mitigate disturbances and thus ask kindly to notify us immediately of any noise-related disturbances. - Please be aware that in a large city like Los Angeles, you may encounter transient individuals outdoors. - This home allows pets for a fee. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet. - The washer and dryer at this property are shared. - Please note: There is no private courtyard space. Courtyards are shared, and each unit shares one courtyard with one other unit. Parking Details: - Reserved Parking Spot #4. This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs. As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation. Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees. There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions. As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards. IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit. We report and prosecute all Credit Card Fraud.
