The rooms were clean, the breakfast fine, the staff great. But the elevator was a little scary. You push the button and it may not move or you arrive at the wrong floor. I am claustraphobic and this bothered me. It had been inspected in April.

I tend to think of Comfort Inn as a run of the mill 2 star hotel chain and I will say that I was very surprised and impressed when I walked in to the Comfort Inn Shelbyville. It was very clean, nicely appointed and updated, room was spot on, I couldn’t have been more impressed. Well worth the (fairly low!) price and then some!
