Quirky place to stay! Lovely big room for our family of four, in peaceful surroundings next to a ruined castle and 10 minutes from Hadrians Wall! Friendly staff and nice home cooked food for dinner and breakfast!

Slightly underwhelming rooms, no biscuits on drinks tray which we've had everywhere else. Food was good as was the beer. Staff friendly but slightly stretched to get everyone served.

Perfectly acceptable place to stay. Food was the main pro. Beds not too comfortable. Room adequate. Food very good.

We stopped for 1 night. The rooms were absolutely spotless, had everything you needed for a B&B. We were able to check in sooner than 3pm. the food was lovely. Great location, there was a hotel with a bar within about a 15 min walk. The couple who own it were really friendly. Weve already booked up to go back in june.
