The Pyramid Cancun by Oasis - Gourmet Premium All Inclusive

The beach front view room we had was amazing, the room was clean and comfortable. The infinity pool was absolutely stunning!

The property was not bad. 2 times there were no electricity, once in the evening for a long time. Negative: a lot of stuff don't speak English at all !!! This is not acceptable. Even the lady at the reception desk at check in talked to us only Spanish. So, the people coming to Cancun for vacation should study Spanish first???

This was my third time staying at this hotel, and I noticed quite a few changes compared to my previous visits. First, I stayed on the Pyramid side, and the room was very poorly maintained. The paint was peeling off the walls, there were holes in several places, and I even found hair on the bed covers. I was very disappointed, especially since I had always had a better experience during my previous stays. The food was okay overall, but unfortunately, I got food poisoning during my trip. I'm not sure what caused it, but it definitely affected my experience. The staff at the pool bars seemed overwhelmed and uninterested in serving guests. The lobby also had an unpleasant smell, which was surprising and unappealing. Another big disappointment was that the casino had been removed. That was one of the main reasons we chose to return to this hotel. In addition, the restaurants that required reservations were always fully booked. Considering the hotel didn't seem very busy, I suspect they were understaffed. Several employees even mentioned that the hotel was not doing very well and that they were short-staffed, which may explain why so many of the staff seemed stressed and overwhelmed. Overall, this stay was very disappointing compared to my previous visits. I hope the hotel can improve its maintenance, staffing, and overall guest experience because it used to be a place I really enjoyed visiting.
