Everything about our stay at the hotel was excellent, such a great location ! Our room was so lovely and how fun to sleep in a beautiful cave . All the staff were so helpful and kind from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was delicious and special to have piano music to begin our day . Thank you making our stay in Matera so memorable.

This is truly an exceptional experience. The staff was very communicative from the moment I booked our reservations. They helped identify and secure parking and transport directly to the hotel (a huge help when trying to move numerous bags through an old city with lots of steps and hills). When we arrived to check in we greeted so warmly it felt like we were old friends. The staff is attentive and kind and helpful. The rooms are just as special and romantic as you’d imagine when staying in such an ancient city. And the showers have awesome water pressure and really hot water! The location is ideal - lots of restaurants, shops, and endless views. The breakfast is generous and delicious. Do not miss trying the homemade cakes! Checking out was just as lovely as checking in. We were actually sad to leave and hope to visit again someday.

Staff was wonderful, and the breakfast was delicious.

Staff was very helpful in all matters from setting up dinner reservations and in room massages to immediate attention to equipment malfunction we experienced. We did the private suite with pool, sauna, and steam shower in room and it was amazing! Once in a lifetime experience!in room
