Allocated parking space was great. Check in was easy and shown to room by friendly staff member. Room was large and and very clean. Bed was comfortable. Shower was good. Breakfast was good. Location on the high street was perfect.

The Golden Lion is ideally situated on the High Street with its own carpark at the rear with each space designated by the room name you're staying in. The staff, rooms and breakfast are excellent and the bar has a great choice of real ales. Other pubs and restaurants are nearby as are shops which are a mix of high street names and individual ones
