The property was tucked away in a perfect location in Hanoi Old Quarter. After a 20 hr flight from Canada we arrived to a spacious, quiet suite with a very comfortable bed and ‘the best’ pillows!
We found most, if not all, sights we wanted to see were in walking distance or a trip on the Hop On/Off bus took us there. As the street traffic (for walking in the evening) can be a bit overwhelming (but safe) we dined exclusively at the restaurant that adjoined the hotel. The buffet breakfast was also served here. All food offerings were very good and table service was top-notch. We highly recommend staying at DeSyloia when you visit Hanoi

This hotel was lovely. The rooms were large, comfortable, nicely decorated and quiet. The little restaurant is very good, with a tasty breakfast that was included. And the staff was so cheerful, helpful and accommodating. We chose De Syloia because we wanted a hotel that was close to things but not in a loud area and the location did not disappoint. The French Quarter is noticeably more quiet, pretty, and less congested than the Old Quarter. After a long day, walking back to a quieter and lovely neighborhood and hotel was a nice reprieve.
