They did not honor my room reservation. They instead put me up in adjacent hotel that had lower rates on Expedia. They rejected a refund request for the difference in Rate that I initiated with Expedia. Just not fair.

Spent a wonderful Christmas weekend at the Authentic Hanoi from Saturday 24th to Monday 26th December 2022. This is actually my 3rd time at the hotel. I was here the first time 9 years ago and subsequently I housed my parents at the hotel when they came over to visit my in-laws. For this trip I splashed on the lake view suite, and I was not disappointed. My wife loves the double wash basins and the bathtub. The hot water is sufficient and comfortable. First impressions were good. The room is large clean and well equipped. The hotel service personnel deliver excellent service throughout! The Breakfast service serves adequate western and local fare at their rooftop restaurant. My wife is very pleased with the Pho Ga. The restaurant offers a great view around the Old Quarter and Ho Hoan Kiem area. My son also loves the lake view suite and hopes to return again to the same room. I highly recommend booking the lakeside suite for a spectacular view of the city. I will definitely book Authentic Hanoi hotel again when I return to Hanoi! The shower compartment's tap head should be changed to one with a better grip as when our hands are soapy, its very hard to grab the tap head. Also it appears the soap dish no longer installed and we had to place the shower gel bottles on the floor.

The authentic Hanoi hotel is very nice and it is just in the scene viewing area which has been very convenient for taking a tour around this place.and the servants here has neen very kind of me.i used to ask sewing kit and something else to be delivered and they responded very quickly and kindly.and sure the hotel is clean and allappliances iused are functioning.it has massage and gym center also.the breakfastisalso good.i will come to here next time i visit the city with no doubt.it is worth to be here which is my best recommendation for you when you were here. And the best receptionist i should ask , they are taking their responsibility so seriously.so you could turn to them when you were this place.

Well well well. I had a great stay in Authentic Hanoi Hotel. Customer Service is out standing, Alex is always assist all customers in anytime.
Location is perfect and price is reasonable.

Authentic Hotel hava a good location, nearby Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc son Temple.
The staff is very friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. They helped arrange transportation, purchase SIM card, recommend places to eat. Overall, we love the service provided by the staff. Will definitely stay here again and will recommend to friends and colleagues.

The stay was pleasant and the staff were absolutely gorgeous - very friendly and helpful. The only beside was the fact that renovations were happening next door which the noise filtered through. Nothing they could do about it.

Wonderful stay with essence welcoming.
Location is perfect, right next to Hoan Kiem lake and Water puppet theatre. Staff is fabulous, assist you anytime ans anything you want.

This is 2nd times staying in this hotel, they provided me a excellent service which welcome me at airport and transported me to the Hotel, everything here keep tidy and clean. It is really comfort with their friendly service and assistance and location is very convenience for everyone.

The room i booked and the room given was totally different, i booked a room with window but the room given me was no window and AC was bad. I was literally sweating next day morning and asked them to cancel my booking, then they agree to change my room. Beware of the Front Desk Guy who manages the hotel in the night time. I asked for room service food at around 11 PM and he didn't mention he has to order outside and given me a offer that only pizza is available and he charged me V.Dong 450,000 for medium size pizza. Next day when i informed this to the receptionist she surprise and call the manager to sort out it, i got back V.Dong 150,000 after few arguments. Not trust-able place , i will not book this hotel in the future

We stayed in a few hotels in Hanoi and honestly thought there was better value to be found elsewhere. We were only at the Authentic one night - location excellent, rooms and breakfast very so so. There was also a very expensive cigar bar upstairs. A bit out of character wit( the rest of the hotel.

I liked the location of this hotel. The rooftop restaurant and bar are very appealing; however, I believe that the menu needs to change in order to attract more guests. The menu options are heavy, too westernized and pricy. Prior to booking our stay I read many reviews about the beds being uncomfortably hard. I cannot confirm that. Our bed and bedding was very comfortable. However, I found the room to have a slightly moist/stale smell which was probably caused by the air quality in Hanoi. I found that the curtains were dusty and the corners of the rooms not well swept but other than that, the room was clean and tidy.

Excellent staff! Excellent view from the bar and a good restaurant. A perfect hotel for a no hassle traveler! Only thing I recommend is to change the restaurant timing just in case travelers check in late at night and they might want to order food/beverages .

Great staff and service. The hotel is centrally located in the Old District near a pretty lake. Theres a passable restaurant on the top floor with a very small outdoor balcony and the view from there is really pretty. These are the positives. On the downside, there was a terrible double bed that was really just two uneven single beds pushed together. The real deal breaker, though, was the fact that my room REEKED of ammonia. I think they tried to bleach out some mold from the closet or something. Anyway, it was overwhelming. Every time I re-entered the room, it was like walking into a gas chamber. Since the front desk said they had no other rooms and I was exhausted, I just opened every window, turned on all the fans, and tried to keep myself distracted. Needless to say, I spent as little time in the room as possible.

Hitel was great. Staff was very attentive and experienced. I booked an over night boat tour with the front deak and they made it a delightful experience. Room was clean and well equipt. My room was vwry qyiet, but itgers in my party complaned if noise from the street. The breakfast was delicous and varied. Will stay agin on my next trip.

Hotel wise, I cant find any faults. Staff were friendly, room condition was great.What I really like was, it was close to the old quarter, but not too close, as it tends to be too noisy to sleep at night.No shortage of great and cheap eating places, which was my kryptonite.There is even a roof top restaurant with a good view of the lake and city. You need to get a beer at least once there and enjoy the night view.My only complaint was that the gym could be a bit better, but thats just me.Will be back!

Used this hotel for an overnight stop before and after a boat trip to Halong Bay. The hotel was ideal as it was an easy walk (ignoring the death defying process of crossing the roads in Hanoi) to the shops and restaurants overlooking a scenic lake. Great atmosphere at night. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
