Great property, and wonderful location. The hotel was clean and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. Kylie Tran ensured our stay was amazing, and assisted us with everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!

What a fantastic hotel and amazing staff. The whole team could not have beem mote helpful. They went out of their way to ensure me and mom eho is disabled had the best experience with them. They arranged a table for me and mom at the sky bar for tet, at no extra cost, as they could see she would have difficulty standing for long periods of time. The massage was the best i have ever had. And kylie went out of her way to text every day to check everything with our stay was as we wanted it. The best team i have encounted on my travels in vietnam. They all deserve a pat on the back for hiw fantastic they all are.

Friendly staff. Nice and clean room and bathroom. Great breakfast buffet. Close to Hoan Kiem lake.

The hotel was dated and smelled of food at hallway of our rooms, bedding was thin and bed sheet had a hole. The surrounding of the hotel was crowded and noisy. Breakfast was average but the view overlooking the lake from breakfast floor was unbeatable. Overall, not recommended.

Rooms are clean but small . Particularly if you get back room then window is really small. Other than that thia place is good.

We thought the hotel was perfectly located. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Staff in reception were excellent. The breakfast was mediocre and the staff at breakfast did not go out of their way to service us.

In a great location with a lovely view over the lake if you go to the sky bar. All the staff were fantastic - helpful and personable. Room were clean and cosy and the bathroom had a great shower. Highly recommended

I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Hanoi. The entire team are super friendly and look after your every wish even opening the door for me every time I left the hotel. The rooms are cleaned daily to a very high standard. I made full use of the roof top bar which gives great views across Hanoi and over looking the Lake. There is a Lady called Kylie front of house she will do her upmost to get you what you need & can sort all transport needs to & from the Airport she is a genuine asset to this hotel and super friendly and approachable.

Kylie and every one of the staff at San Grand were simply phenomenal. The level of customer care is the best I have experienced anywhere in hotels I’ve stayed which are many the world over. Besides the level of care and attention to detail from staff, the rooms are so comfortable and can’t be faulted. Beautifully decorated and maintained rooms and property overall. Location very ideal. Breakfasts high quality. It feels like such a find and a home in the heart of Hanoi.

The hotel was in the great location. All nearby food and drink location . Rooms are very clean, modern and no noise interruption. Staffs are very friendly and care about customers especially miss Kylie Tran. I would recommend to all visitors who come to visit Hannoi. I would give 10stars out of 10. You won’t be disappointed about it .

Well, what a find this hotel was - the views, location, and the staff! Amazing! It became our ‘ base’ as we explored other out of Hanoi sights, all organised by the fabulous Mia and Kylie, both from the hotel. Service plus! The hotel is also so convenient to food streets, shopping and the beautiful lake. A beautiful hotel in a great location.

The hotel rooms were smaller than expected, no place to store luggage and no drawers to put away your clothes. The sink drainage was not good did not drain well, and shower pressure is poor water sometimes warm or extremely hot continuously. However on the positive note the morning buffet breakfast was good and staff is very friendly and pleasant. Overall the area was quite convenient and within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Although overall I gave it an average rating I would still recommend this hotel.

The stsff, service, breakfast and ambience of the hotel are wonderful. All staff are attentive , very friendly and skilled in their duties. Hotel is well located in the Old Quarter. A great hotel to stay in.

Check in was really fast having stayed a couple of times and that the staff already has my details. Room though a bit small but comfortable with all the required necessities. Sound-proof of the windows could be better . Breakfast at the roof terrace was great considering the price of the room. Tried the hotel spa for the 1st time. Staff Emma was very helpful in arranging the type of treatments I wanted . Overall a good boutique hotel to stay in the heart of Old Quarter. Staff really helpful and friendly.

Fabulous location. Easy walk to the lake. Convenient store located right beside the building, literally on the right side. Yummy restaurants withib a short Grab ride costing less than 50 cents. Friendly staff, clean room, delicious breakfast and free afternoon tea. Will be back in a month. See you soon!

This is an interesting hotel. The staff are very kean to ensure you have an excellent stay. We received an upgrade to a Hoem Keim lake-view room. The view was good. However, the room was tiny. The bathroom was sufficient. Breakfast was adequate. We loved the first night dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed their simple but free afternoon tea. Great views and good food. Located in a very typical Hanoi street in the Old/French quarter. There is a myriad of life, busyness and energy in the streets around the hotel. A good position to explore this part of Hanoi. Could be a challenging street if mobility or age is an issue.

The San Grand is a gem! It is 5 star all the way. The hotel is clean, rooms are well appointed and spacious, furnishings are first class. But the best are the staff!!! They are always on duty and try their best to meet your every need. I have never had such great service! A special thank you to Emma and Frank, who always met us with a smile and did all they could to make our stay 5 star at all times. This hotel is fortunate to have these professionals on their staff. Truly incredible individuals!!!

Located right in the middle of old quarter, close to quite a few attractions within walkable distance,the hotel is very clean and the staff is always friendly and helpful at the same time professional.

This hotel was really comfortable! . It's location was also wonderful, being right near to the Old Quarter, making walking to all of Hanoi's highlights a breeze . The breakfast was delicious and the rooftop bar was a really nice place to view the city at night. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful . I can’t thank Ms Lucie enough for her support when exchanging money and arranging cabs for us to take to the airport. I definitely recommend that you stay at the San Grand hotel when you visit Hanoi!
