Situated right beside the Cathedral, in the middle of Centro Storico (the old town), there are only 6 bedrooms. So many cafes and restaurants within a few minutes walk. The hotel is clean and modern. Our room, number 4, had a small anteroom with a sofa and a second TV. You can use your personal account for Netflix on the TV.
A continental style breakfast is served between 8-10am daily on site and Alessia is always there to assist. The Manager Mauro is a charming man who even helped my elderly husband and I with our luggage. Monopoli is in a perfect location to visit lots of places in Puglia.
Our room was on the second floor and there is no handrail to assist on the stairway. In common with many very old buildings, it was a little too dark in the bedroom.

The localization is definitely a plus.. central place.. quiet area.. close to everything.. the room feels like an ancient place stay but with modern living

Nothing, we had a wonderful stay.

The interior design was nice and the location was exceptional
It is not a hotel and should not be marketed as such. It was more an air bnb . No on site reception, no proper coffee/kettles and no daily cleaning (maybe once in our 3 nights). Billing did not match the booking and zero explanations when queried. ‘It is what it is’ was the explanation. Shower stalls didn’t always drain properly and one of our rooms was flooded. But worst of all were the steps - beware of booking the suite. Beautiful terrace but the ladder to the room was ridiculous. This was not communicated prior so they should be more transparent
