My stay here as a solo traveler was the best decision I made for my trip. Dave and Shami were so friendly, kind, welcoming, and just genuinely good people. The room was so cozy and has an incredible view overlooking Rotorua. The breakfast spread was incredible and it was lovely to spend some time talking to other travelers about where they’re from and get ideas. I absolutely plan to come back again and recommend this place to anyone passing through Rotorua.

The ensuite room we stayed in had lovely views out over Rotorua and was nicely furnished with everything we needed. The hosts Dave and Shami were very welcoming with plenty of suggestions for things to do in the local area. Breakfast was lovely with a wide choice of meats, cheeses and chutneys as well as different types of bread and an excellent fresh fruit salad. The location is a little outside the centre of Rotorua but provided a great base for exploring the area.

I had the sweetest stay at Shami and Dave’s home. It was exactly what I needed and in the perfect location. The breakfast provided was so nourishing and fresh. As well, the rooms are so so cozy and make you feel right at home. It’s also close to so many activities and beautiful scenery.
I will definitely stay here again when back in Rotorua!
