Wonderful house and great lo

House was clean and as advertised. Location was good and close to amenities. Only complaint was one of the shower curtains was a bit moldy.

We had a great stay at this property. Communication with the host was excellent and any issues that did come up during our stay were addressed immediately. This property is in a great location for fishing, restaurants, and Publix. The unit itself has four bedrooms and three bathrooms as noted in the listing and although it’s not as spacious as some of the other homes, we’ve stayed at in Marathon, we never felt cramped. We will definitely consider this unit again when we do our annual trip to the Keys..

Arrived Sat, found evidence of presumably bed bugs. Dirty sheets & mattresses w/ hair, what looked like blood stains, black & yellow specs (presumably bed bug debris & casings), a dead bug. Contacted host immediately. Sun morn woke up w/ presumably bed bug bites. Notified host again, who said they would send property manager (PM) to us. Mon, PM had maids bring new sheets, do extra cleaning & vacuuming. Maid washed sheets but stuffed washer too full, so not sure anything is clean. We pushed PM to contact pest control to verify if they were bed bugs. He said he would call but we didn’t get update. He came back with bed bug spray for baseboards & under beds, which is not an appropriate treatment. Did not follow up about pest control, when prompted he said they weren’t available (don’t believe). Everyday someone had new bites. Contacted VRBO support Wed, who said they couldn’t relocate or refund because it wasn’t clear in our pictures they were bed bugs, even though our pictures matched pictures online. Host was polite in response to our concerns, but never reached out after Mon to check in. Disappointed in the way host, PM, and VRBO handled the situation. House itself is nice. Nice dining, patio, & pool. Nice to have washer dryer, covered parking. Could benefit from adding tissues, luggage racks, salt, bathroom floor mats, full length mirror. Trash day sign unclear. Beach chairs worn, one rusty, broken. If it didn’t have bugs, we would have better things to say.
