We stayed at the Castle Tavern for one night while driving through, and it was exactly what we needed. The rooms are above the pub itself, which is a proper traditional old man's pub with plenty of character
The room was surprisingly large and the bathroom was huge, much more space than we expected for the price. The location couldn't be better, right in the middle of town, and the free parking was a real bonus when so many town-centre places charge or have nowhere to park at all.
It was great value for money, and we'd happily stay again if we're passing through.
Nothing, everything was great!

We stayed for one night during our Coast to Coast walk. Clean room, easy check in, great location, fantastic value for money. Would highly recommend the Italian restaurant directly opposite
